and I liked it!
It seems that Main Event is where to go if you want to see the Divas actually wrestle on the Main WWE programming. Hell they had Charlotte vs. Sasha 3 last week in front of the large arena audience. I'm fully aboard the Main Event Bandwagon.

Nikki is a much better worker than she get credit for. Most of the Divas work 10+ minute matches on house shows regularly so it's not shocking she was able to do it.

How does this only seem to happen on Main Event? AJ vs. Natalya was the best main roster Divas match last year, yet it wasn't up on anyone's top match listings because almost nobody knew it happened.

Main Event seems to have at least one good match.

Nikki has been one of the biggest surprises to me this year. Other than Lana she's probably my favourite woman in WWE at the moment. How did this happen?! When she's given a chance, she usually pulls it off.

The Bellas really improved, and I suppose it was because of Cena and Bryan. If those guys really did teach them, then WWE should definitely let them be trainers when they retire. I hated when AJ made the dumb joke that they slept their way to the top a month or so ago, as they were pretty big before Cena and Bryan, and their personal ties with them seemed to improve them as performers overall. The idea of Bella vs. Bella for the title could actually be interesting given a good storyline and maybe rehearse some cool spots or something.

Probably because Vince and Dunn don't care about Main Event, so the producers have more freedom to book the shows.

WWE seem to be slowly making tiers for how people evolve. NXT to Superstars to Main Event to SmackDown to RAW. When you make it to RAW, your work is undone and JBL buries you religiously. Great.

It also happened close to WM season so it kind of flew under the radar. This was good. I wish the WWE style diverted from 'working the body part' and 'submission hold' more but Paige and Nikki did well with that match layout. It's really in these longer matches that you can track how good the divas are. I like that they're engaging the crowd as well and bringing them into the action. If the divas aren't going to get storylines for a while, then at least keep the match opportunities like this flowing.

I would argue that the Wrestlemania match was not only for the quality but also for the fact of where it was placed, they got the fans back from The Undertaker losing. Apart from the Naomi botch at the end it was flawless

There's no denying that Nikki Bella has massively improved both in the ring and on the Mic. Brie is still straggling, but to say neither Bella are good in the ring is a lie.

I imagine all the Divas want to be on Main Event! They will get a better payday being on Raw but it must be frustrating when they are given less than 5 minutes on Raw and SmackDown yet have to get all of their spots in.

I think we have a good six to eight Divas on the current roster who can put on solid fifteen minute matches. Sadly, we just do not get to see them that often. It is absurd to me that we only had one Divas match go more than ten minutes on PPV last year (excluding Survivor Series because a four on four elimination match should go longer) and it was freaking Stephanie McMahon versus Brie Bella...

I've always thought that if I were a Diva on the main roster, I wouldn't want to be in the title picture, cos that would leave me wrestling two minutes on Raw and Smackdown with only a seven or eight minutes in the death slot at the pay-per-view to look forward to. The champion is usually considered too 'big time' for Main Event and Superstars, meaning she very rarely gets lengthy matches. Much better to be Alicia Fox or Emma than Nikki Bella or AJ Lee if you actually want chance to wrestle on weekly television. This is one of only two times they've actually let the champ show up on the C and D shows and go 10-15 like the also-rans do. Bizarre when you think about it, your match time decreases the further up the pecking order you get.

I was surprised Nikki as Divas Champ was almost as over as Trish Stratus as the Women's Champ, everytime Nikki pointed up to do the Bella-pose she got a decent face pop (despite being the current top heel in the Divas Division, again much like Trish Stratus would get when she pointed to the sky for her Stratusfaction bulldog or whenever she feuded with face Lita post-Matt-Hardy-screwjob).

Considering Vince has always liked the Bellas, even before the boyfriends, and she's dating their top star, Nikki surely must have enough power to make a change in the division.

Funny you should say this. Nikki gets no mic time and this, twelve minutes - an opener for most male wrestlers - is the longest match of her career. Since 2008. Cena clearly isn't pushing for her and she was only important for a while because a McMahon was involved. I've said it before - no matter how much Vince and others like a certain female performer, they still hate women's wrestling a lot more.
