yeah I'm a bit late to the discussion, I just finished yesterday. Daredevil's probably my favorite Marvel character (except MAYBE Deadpool) and this show didn't disappoint at all. Vincent D'Onofrio stole ever scene he was in but I didn't have a problem with anyone's performance. Charlie Cox makes a much better Daredevil than Ben Affleck.

I do agree there is a bunch of filler in the series.
Especially episode 10

There was filler and yet the finale felt very rushed. A lot was happening without any room to breath. Maybe that was by design, but it just felt like they had a lot of story that had to be wrapped up.

Really really great show, loved this season, can't wait for more. Great to finally see DD get some justice on screen. Agreed a Punisher series could be really great, but man it'd be uniquely challenging and different if faithful to the character. Unlike Daredevil or even say Dexter, who had a family and secret identity of sorts, Punisher would have much less of the relationships and normal stuff that is the bread and butter of TV writing. A show just about a driven killing machine on a personal war would be unlike anything else on TV. Here's hoping they don't make it an origin story if they do a Punisher show, pick it up a few years into his vigilante career with a few brief flashbacks. I say have the Punisher show up in the 2nd or 3rd season of Daredevil. It'd be a great way to reintroduce the character into a darker setting. One of the bad things about it is you know questions of "Where was he during the Chitauri Invasion?" and "Where was he when Daredevil was nearly killed by Naboo(spelling?)", and "Where was he when children were being kidnapped in Daredevil?" Iraq works.

Yeah Iraq or Afghanistan works. Or hell, maybe Frank's family was alive at that point.

I always thought Punisher worked best when he was a Vietnam Veteran... but they can't really do that in the Cinematic Universe without making him like 60 years old. But yeah like Kevin Hamilton said, if they put him in either have him in one of the recent wars (or hell it's the movies they could make up some other war if they wanted to) or don't have his family die until later.

Just have him be a Vietnam Veteran in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's what really sets him apart from the rest of the superheroes.

How about Blade & Ghost Rider
Those 2 I can see working better as TV shows (Blade WAS a TV show at one point) rather than movies.

Okay finished a marathon of the series about thirty minutes ago. I liked it, but I think I liked how they depicted Kingpin. They really did a good job with him.

So I asked my brother about watching this with me because I saw him try to watch it the other week and he had asked me if I had seen any of it. Unfortunately, he said he watched the first two episodes and wasn't a fan of it. I tired telling him that the series gets a lot better after, but his response was "Okay, great!" sarcastically. That's really the biggest problem with this show, its beginning is WAY too slow. Plus the episodes didn't need to be Game of Thrones length. There were plenty of scenes throughout that should have been cut but got left in. They got a little too indulgent with getting on Netflix. I really love the show, but I've seen a couple elseware bail on this because they hated the first episodes. Anything I should say specifically with my brother to get him to give this a second chance?

I thought it started out with a fine pace. The slowness was nearer the end. It got to the Fisk flashback episode (Which is maybe my favorite MCU thing ever) and then it cooled down.
I stopped trying to convince people to watch stuff. I just do not care if they like it or not anymore. It largely came from getting tired of people trying to sell me on shows so hard and then I don't like them and they get all prissy about it.

It largely came from getting tired of people trying to sell me on shows so hard and then I don't like them and they get all prissy about it. I had, like, a dozen people tell me to watch (new) Doctor Who, 'til finally I broke down and watched some episodes and said "yeah, this is pretty cool." Then they got all insistent that I watch in order from the first series up to the present (at the time, the first series of Matt Smith). So I relented and did just that. Then, absolutely everyone I knew who insisted on this moved out of town, so I have nobody to talk to about the show. It really soured me on the whole idea of getting somebody into a show or having somebody get me into a show. Now if anyone recommends me anything, it makes me less likely to watch it.

Little late, but I just got done watching this(watched it over 3 days) & I loved it! Great action & fight scenes, liked all the main characters(Wesley & Fisk being my favorites). Glad it got renewed for a 2nd season.

As it deserves to be. It's the Game of Thrones of superhero shows.
