Last I remember he was trapped in a closet that he said was a cave or something.

He's still employed. I don't get why they don't just use him as a jobber or something.

Side question: Is Richie Steamboat still employed?

Wasn't he moved to the Alumni page back when Great Khali (who's now gone) was?

Wasn't he moved to the Alumni page back when Great Khali (who's now gone) was? Yeah, but that was to go along with him being fired in kayfabe. There was no announcement of him really being gone.

Richie Steamboat was released a long time ago. Wasn't he moved to the Alumni page back when Great Khali (who's now gone) was? No. He was moved to the alumni section when they "fired" him as RAW GM last Spring. He worked some house shows back in the fall but to my knowledge they haven't used him since. They really should give him a fair shake before releasing him though. Making him the GM was goofy with the authority outranking him.

I still demand that should they put him back on TV, they always refer to him as 'Brad "Mad Braddox, The Mad Ox" Maddox'.

Like his role would've been to take the piss out of the main event wrestling tropes by being an evil authority figure that feuds with lower carders. Like he should've been stacking the odds against Zack Ryder by making him wrestle handicap matches against 3MB or something.

I wish The Authority had some comedic foils amongst them (J & J do well with Rollins, but also add to his heelness), like Johnathan Coachman to Eric Bischoff/Vince McMahon or David Otunga to Big Johnny. With Triple H's history as a wrestler, he's just too serious of a character to do the funny stuff himself, and it comes off as insulting when he tries. Vince's evil was so over-the-top, he was naturally hilarious. In a weird way, Triple H is much more "evil" than Vince was as the boss, but it doesn't mesh well when this "super evil" is on 24/7/365 for TV. Vince could be serious for a WM feud, but funny and crazy during other times of the year to spice things up. At least give HHH a scrub for us to laugh about or something, not him making out with his wife as a proverbial middle finger to end every damn segment he's in.

I don't see why he couldn't have been part of Seth's security.

Maddox is one guy who I haven't seen much of in the ring. I actually haven't missed him at all.

he should return and feud with Billy Gunn for the rights of the name Mr Ass. They can have an Ass Off where they compete to see who has the best ass. Which Billy wins after sticky-taping a photo of his ass from 2000 onto the back of his trunks to hide his current saggy ass.

I am pretty sure they called him up simply as an out for Punk v Ryback. He served his purpose and probably has gotten more than they were planning to do with him.

There was a counter report saying Steamboat hadn't actually been released and he is missing in Samoa.
