I love the stuff surrounding the match. The match itself was good but I couldn't help but feel they were cutting a lot of it out with the commercial breaks. Just seemed like it was missing something with how it formatted.

Next week is two episodes, so those three matches will be spread over two hours. The following episode will air February 6th and will show Tanahashi/Devitt and Okada/Makabe from Dominion 2013. I assume there will be something about the formation of Bullet Club on that episode.

Watching that match last night as well as their match at WK9 shows how important The Dragon Leg Screw is in Tanahashi's arsenal. He's not using it to weaken your legs and set you up for submissions, he's using that on you so that when he goes for the High Fly Flow you can't lift or use them to try and block or move out of the way when he leaps.

Josh Barnett is a great play by play dude and his gives quality insight to the actual moves, forgot that actually happens in wrestling

I'm absolutely loving everything I'm seeing from NJPW right now, as I've only very sporadically watched in the past due to the language barrier. I really hope this show gets renewed, as I'm loving having access to the product.

dave
Listed schedule is correct.
The second hour of next week's show I've already seen and it is the best one hour pro wrestling TV show I've ever seen.

Trying to watch Impact last week after this show just did not work. I think this New Japan show will put the nail in the coffin of my TNA fandom. At least, it will give me a solid break.

Episode 3 is the only show he's said that about. People seem confused about what Dave said because the first and third episodes are both Tanahashi/Okada matches.

I'm assuming there's no clean hassle free way of watching this show if you don't have AXS huh?

After watching Wrestle Kingdom I thought to myself "I may just fallen in love with New Japan but I dont want to wait for another big show for English commentary" so I freaked out when I saw this show had also been announced, watched it over the weekend and it was great, watching Tanahashi and Okada again only left me wanting more and I liked being able to see more of their history.
I like the music in New Japan, makes me feel like Im experiencing some sort of epic adventure. It was a bit weird having commentary that you know is freshly recorded but they had to act like they were watching it live in 2013 but I was fine with it, they couldnt do it any other way and I appreciated their enthusiasm, Im looking forward to hearing them again. I watched the latest Botchamania video right after I watched this and just hearing snippets of Cole and guy's crap and irrelevant banter, promotion and lame corporate speak (King: "He's getting encouragement from the Universe!" or something, sounds so ridiculous) made my stomach churn, it's hard to imagine watching that on a weekly basis now (havn't since 2010, the awful commentary was a large contributing factor in that decision) after seeing it presented on New Japan the way I had dreamed of for years.
From bits of ROH Ive seen over the last while I like it about them as well but it's just good to be able to see it with a national/global level company like NJPW and especially with the internet and how small the world is now it's like we didn't even realise that the big rival promotion to WWE doesnt even have to be American (not saying they'll topple them anytime soon but in terms of support from the likes of me). I didnt look through the list of upcoming matches so I can be surprised but hope we get Nakamura soon!
