Gay Dean ep was pretty funny. The Karate Kid stuff was pretty great just for Jason Mantzoukas alone.
The rolling ipad ep had a way better A story. The whole thing with Britta's party was only so-so. Jeff and Willie had some really great moments though.

episodes 1-3 were really good, nothing groundbreaking though was rather disappointed with the Karate Kid episode...could someone explain what was supposed to be so good about it? many redditors thought it was top 2 this season...

Got caught up on the last three episodes tonight. There's some good laughs here and there but overall, very meh.

The last two episodes have been painfully lacking. I never say this, but maybe NBC was right.

I personally thought the last two episodes were great.
Of course being a fan of The Sting helped raise my enjoyment level of the latter episode, and the former amused me as well as it poked fun of the real life practice of studios chasing in on popular stars by re releasing their early works making it look like they have the starring role when really nine times out of ten it was a small supporting role.

I think Community overall this season has been great, the last episode in particular was very, very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the last couple episodes. Sure, it's lost some of the show's magic, but it's gone 6 seasons and lost half the original cast. That it's as good as it is says something.

Grifting 101 was pretty fun. It was about as "Community" as an episode of Community is going to get at this stage in the game. I really loved that a goodly amount of the set up was all about teaching the class how to switch briefcases but.... {Spoiler}when Abed actually did need to switch the briefcases for real when Annie was kissing the grifter, it was so loud and awkward. cracked me up big time Recylced Cinema ...that one I liked just because of Jeff's arc and steve guttenberg getting a sweet cameo.

I really enjoyed Recycled Cinema but wasn't a huge fan of this last episode. Did enjoy Matt Berry showing up though, that guy is welcome to come back anytime.

Boy this thread died quick. A shame since I've really enjoyed the last two episodes. Next week might very well be the final episode of Community.

I keep looking for it in the top pages after watching the new episode, and then when I don't see it, move on with my life.
I really enjoyed the wedding episode this week.

I try to watch it but Yahoo Screen blows. Always buggy and slow on my computer.
They didn't have to bring back Starburns. I would rather see the ghost of Pierce over that.

The last two episodes have been painfully lacking. I never say this, but maybe NBC was right. How can a network that constantly gets it wrong, ever be right? I think that the loss of Troy, Shirley and to a lesser extent, Pierce, hurt the show. It's just not the same. They've got to convince Donald Glover to do a guest appearance just to sing the "Abed and Troy in the Morning" theme.

They've got to convince Donald Glover to do a guest appearance just to sing the "Abed and Troy in the Morning" theme. The show just doesn't have the magic it did, and I think NBC's time to cut bait was really a good decision. This season hasn't been horrible, like season 4, but I can't say it's been good enough to warrant still being on network TV. Not that network TV is good, but they aren't missing much by having it stowed away on Yahoo Screen. The show really misses Troy badly. But I think Pierce is an underrated loss. I know Chevy and Pierce are douches, but the character really added something to the show comedy-wise. Professor Duncan was also a much bigger loss than people talk about. I liked the last two episodes well enough. I really liked the Garrett's wedding episode. I loved the Keith David complimenting white people thing. He was finally really funny with some thing, but overall I think he should stick to narrating Pillows and Blankets. I loved the use of Daybreak in the paintball episode. Always glad to hear that.

Was really enjoying this season of Community until the last 2 episodes (haven't seen the wedding one yet).
The RV episode was more meta-bullshit which should have been toned way down by now and the paintball episode felt really forced. It's a shame because up until those 2 episodes this was probably the most consistent season since Season 3.
As others has said, this just isn't Community anymore. Not that it's bad but it's basically a completely different show.

I agree with what most of you have said and this season really makes me feel, for the first time, comfortable with the show ending. Give us a movie with most (minus Pierce probably) of the cast back and call it a day.

Other than Yahoo Screen turning on the subtitles and restarting the episode after each commercial, I've enjoyed the show. Problem is, the characters seem like side characters in their own show. Abed mentions meta stuff, Annie is barely in the episodes, Jeff is just there to deliver one liners, Britta has gone full Simple Jack.
With each good season, there was a main driving arc for one of the characters. Other plots happened, but the stories worked around the main plot.
S1: Jeff embraces being a student and seeks Britta. S2: Pierce struggles with being the group outcast and plays the villain before saving the school. S3: Troy weighs adulthood vs the comfort of his group family/Abed copes with potentially losing his best friend. S4: There was a gas leak. S5: Jeff tries to save Greendale from corporate takeover. S6: ...Frankie wants order?
Without that, it just feels aimless.
