1995 and it isn't even close. Let's recap shall we:
The worst Royal Rumble ever, featuring some of the worst characters ever to enter a WWF ring and the 60 second intervals.
One of the worst WrestleManias ever with more focus on the b list celebrities Vince brought in than the wrestlers.
One of the worst PPV's ever in the King of the Ring.
3 Diesel vs Sid PPV main events.
Diesel vs King Mabel at Summerslam.
That Michaels/Diesel vs Owen/Yokozuna match in which a title was guaranteed to change hands but no titles changed hands in one of the most convoluted ways possible.
Jacob & Eli Blu
Duke "The Dumpster" Droese
Doink The Clown & Dink
Kwang
Well Dunn
The Bushwackers
Mantaur
Aldo Montoya
Adam Bomb
Jean-Pierre Lafitte
Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly
Rad Radford
Man Mountian Rock
Tekno Team 2000
Bodydonna Skip
Bertha Faye
Issac Yankem DDS

And so much more.

I picked 2014 since it really put me off as a fan and I literally quit watching around June or so but that makes me feel like I shouldn't count it (like how I know 2006-2010 had a lot of bad years but I wasn't watching in that time).
2003 was absolutely horrendous too and, yes, that extends to Smackdown too. People are blinded by the occasional good Angle/Lesnar/Benoit/Eddie/Rey matches that would go down. Sure, RAW had "YOU PEOPLE don't win titles", Eric Bischoff raping Linda McMahon, the Kane and Shane McMahon feud and Goldberg's horrible run but I can't believe that any of you were psyched on the Vince McMahon vs Mr. America, Zack Gowen, Al Wilson and Sable's horrible run.

2011.
Nexus break-up. But there was really no big blowoff of them disbanding.
CM Punk as leader. Absolutely went nowhere, except the cult like stuff.
Alberto losing to Edge when he should've won, even if we Edge didn't have to retire. ADR was destined to win then.
Sheamus and Daniel Bryan not even on the main Wrestlemania card.
The Miz main eventing Wrestlemania 27.
Christian holding the WHC for ONLY 2 days. I remember that pissed off ALOT of people here.
Heel Michael Cole and the Lawler feud.
Snooki over Melina at Wrestlemania 27.
Kevin Nash/Triple H getting involved in the Punk storyline.
Triple H defeating Punk at NOC.
Face COO HHH.
Kevin Nash at TLC.
HHH neutering Awesome Truth.
I'm sure there are more, but man, 2011 almost drove me away.
The had the biggest storyline in forever with the Pipebomb/MITB events and it all went to shit within weeks.
The good is so overshadowed by the bad in 2011.

If I had to pick just one, 2014. However, to be quite honest, I've disliked the past 5 years or so.

My answer is probably objectively speaking 2014, but I hated 2012 too much to let it off the hook entirely.

For those voting for 07 I must ask, is it more for how awful the product was or the visceral punch in the gut the Benoit tragedy was?

I stopped watching regularly around 2002-2003. I'd rather watch New Generation WWF than Triple H's reign of terror. At least I'd get some kind of nostalgia from the former.

For those voting for 07 I must ask, is it more for how awful the product was or the visceral punch in the gut the Benoit tragedy was? For me both. The Benoit stuff hit so hard, it would have taken an incredibly fantastic product for me to even watch consistently, let alone often. And given how lackluster the rest of year was, my heart just wasn't in it for a good long while. Oddly enough it was 2007/08 TNA which got me through that period, which while hardly perfect was different enough from WWE and just didn't have the bitter taste of recent events to it.

2003. That is the year I stopped watching Raw every week. I worked Thursday night so I could not watch Smackdown.

1995 was bad, but I was 11 and loved Diesel so it gets a free pass. I took a break in 2007 so I didn't suffer most of that garbage. RAW was abysmal in 2009, but SmackDown and ECW were great. So, that leaves 2014. My god did the past year suck.

2002. The Monday Night War hangover. WCW was gone. Most of WCW's stars were gone. Rock and Austin were finished as full timers. And all we were left with was the sleazy Attitude Era booking without all of the biggest stars that made much of that tolerable. Then they had the draft and we were left with a shit product that barred no resemblance to the awesome product that had existed just a few years before. It was just sad and in many ways, my fandom has never reached pre-2002 levels since.

Voted 02 since the brand split drove me away in a fashion I've never come back as a regular fan.

I am a little surprised that as of this writing NO ONE has voted for 2001. The Austin heel turn that drove so many away and the near universally regarded as a botched Invasion angle. Plus the year we lost both WCW and ECW so Vince no longer had to give a crap and the year of the XFL...

The Invasion angle sucked, but those first 4-5 months of 2001 were as good as WWE television has ever been.

2014 by far. It only had two good things:
Daniel Bryan winning at WM
The rise of a much needed edgy babyface in Ambrose.
Bryan was short lived and they turned Ambrose into a guy who just can't seem to buy a win. So even the good things...well you get the picture. 2014 was complete trash.

The year Cena went through Jericho and Angle. I swear every damn episode of RAW ended with him overcoming the odds and his music blaring
