Roman Reigns, So Hated Rock Got Booed.

Think about that for a minute, The Rock, one of the most popular wrestlers of all time and one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, made a "surprise" appearance to get the crowd to love Roman but instead walked out one of the most hated men in Philly. I cannot honestly think of a time where something even close to that happened. I'm still stunned. One of the biggest possible rubs in wrestling and it backfired in a historic fashion.

I love that, because it shows they knew exactly what was going to happen and that this Reigns push is going to fall flat on its face yet they did it anyway.

It was a blatant ploy to try and get the crowd to like Reigns by associating him with The Rock, and it failed miserably. Probably because most of them saw through it.

Reigns was radioactive tonight. Rock got a big pop as his music hit. As soon as they saw he was there to help Reigns, it was right back to booing.


Rock has gotten some of the weirdest shit over among fans and even on social media, yet Roman Reigns at the 2015 Royal Rumble was the one thing he couldn't get over. F****** hysterical.

WWE can book whatever they want, whenever they want. BUT they need to be OK with the consequences when it's clearly not something the fans want. WWE should be content with calling an audible this year the same as last year. Reigns will burn WM31 to the ground, so it might be wise to bring in Bryan -- again.

It was such a desperate attempt to get Reigns cheered, it was embarrassing.

If you've determined that Reigns is your choice of winner then you shouldn't have to employ little cheats and shortcuts to stop him getting booed out of the building.

Hell, while Kane and Big Show were beating Reigns down they were chanting, "We want Rusev!"

I thought Rock might end up in the match actually but once Cesaro was 28 I knew Show and Ziggler were left. Tonight was something you didn't need to be a visionary to realize would happen. I've said for weeks on here that WWE would be doing Reigns a terrible disservice by booking him to win the Rumble when he's clearly not ready or over enough to justify it. So what do they do now? Go ahead with this crappy match at WM? Add a 3rd man like last year?

I'm truly afraid that they might just keep burying Bryan so that the crowd doesn't keep chanting for him, while the Reigns push flops hard in the main event. In essence WWE could wreck two assets.
