...I wondered: if the Network did go under, what happens to the deals WWE made to get the classic programming closer to its original state? Do they let the deal with the pandas run out (is that possible?) and we're back to bleeps and blurs everywhere? And not that I care, but Benoit goes back into the dungeon (no pun intended) as well as other "taboo" items? Blood and strangulation censored again on DVDs?

Don't worry about it, I bet most of the people typing #cancelwwenetwork on twitter don't even have the network. They are just attention seeking bandwagon jumpers just trying to look cool.

I seriously doubt that WWE would go back to censoring old footage even in the worst-case scenario. Yes, the Network was a big reason why they worked out that settlement with the WWF. But WWE can still use classic footage for its DVD releases, and they can post matches (as well as uncensored photos of its former logo and initials) on the website.

Like most internet protests I don't think this will change much or have much of an effect and will be forgotten pretty quickly.

Hmmmmm...not so sure about pictures. At least in print (books/mags), they still censor.

It'll probably be like 12 people in the end. Most people will be back next week.
