Roman was liked well enough as the silent strong man of the Shield. So of course WWE decides we need "Storytime with Roman Reigns" and all of these other long winded promos that just makes him look silly instead of intimidating and also eliminates whatever intrigue there may have been with that handshake and "I don't respect you" "but you WILL" moment during that face to face with Lesnar earlier. Imagine if the Roman from a year ago had said something like that to Brock, most people might've been inclined to sit up and pay attention instead of rolling their eyes and wondering why they should believe a man telling stories about Jack and the Magic Beanstalk and saying SUFFERING SUCCOTASH.
Meanwhile Seth actually is given promos that for the most part do nothing to lessen his character or ruin the impact of what he does/says when he does/says it, and he handles them fine.

Roman can't cut a promo. Seth is actually good at cutting promos (nowadays). This is not close at all.

Roman. Though can someone explain what "sounding natural" is to me? Everyone wrestler sounds natural when they speak unless they stumble over words consistently or forget what they're supposed to say. I mean, I read a lot of how Cesaro sucks on the microphone and I've seen examples of where his accent gets in the way, but he seems ok with speaking on the microphone - it's just his material (whoever it's written by) hasn't been all that memorable or good. The problem is that I was just at a house show and he had a segment with Chris Jericho where he sounded like a completely different person, he was actually good IMO. It wasn't a long segment but it was basically him hyping himself as a great wrestler and it worked, especially since everyone has seen how good he is and that really can't be denied. It worked to his strengths. Point being; WWE sucks at writing promos and should keep it simple, stupid...unless you have a guy like Heyman/Punk/etc. They won't though, stay tuned next week on RAW when they decide it's actually Cesaro who should be reciting Elmer Fudd's lines instead of Reigns. "Sounding natural" just means sounding like they're actually speaking to you instead of like they're reading from a script. Reigns really can't pull that off at all, nor can Cesaro.

Samoan Erik Watts. Seth is pretty good as the bitchy character he portrays.

Roman Reigns, largely because Seth's actually really good. Reigns could be better if he weren't stuck quoting Looney Tunes and fairy tales all the time.

It isn't even close. Seth's gotten way better.

Roman > Seth > Bryan ... not that any of them are good. Haha, now that's just you going against the grain on purpose.

I haven't seen enough of Reigns on the mic generally, but tonight he was much better than Rollins. His came off like an actual interview, as opposed to him playing a character.
I think Seth generally does fine with what he's given to do, but he was really unnatural tonight.

Wait, what? Rollins is great on the mic. The only way this post makes sense is if we've been transported to early 2010. That Seth Rollins had zero mic skills and could be fairly compared to 2015 Roman Reigns but 2015 Seth Rollins? Nah, not even a contest. Seth is now way better on the mic. Hell he was in a triple threat match with John Cena and Brock Lesnar for the belt at the Rumble and in the build-up he was the one that came off like a star. Speaks volumes.
