I was expecting #9 to be higher on the list. Well, while he does like it, Todd has said before that it's kinda bland lyricly {Spoiler}(which is true. He is happy. There, that's the lyrics).

There, that's the lyrics). The lyrics are the reason why I personally prefer the Weird Al parody version over the original. Al's version almost follows the same structure as the original song to a T, but no two verses or chorus' are exactly alike and it flows better because of that. Well that and having Aisha Tyler, Jack Black and Kristian Schaal in the music video also makes the parody a little better in my eyes.

Beyond that, yeah, Weird Al's covers of stuff tend to have more complex lyrics than the original material, which is part of why I love the guy so much. He's really damn good.

TO kind of be fair to Pharrel, he made the song so it would loop indefinitely. There is a 24 hour version of it with full music video.

I'm disappointed that Turn Down for What wasn't on the list. That is the defining song of 2014!

{Spoiler}Personally, his #3 was my #1 of the year. I just hope that Clean Bandit continues with the hits because they have that certain something that will make me love them for life.
Also, his #1 is my #2 by only a small margin.

Cant say i like any of the songs on that list. Its not because i hate top 40 either, i occasionally listen to that format and find certain songs i like, but nothing there sounds like my cup of tea. And how exactly are Paramore a rock band? Going by that song they sound NOTHING like most traditional rock, or even stuff on the level of the Black Keys or Foo Fighters.

Like he said, it's the biggest rock song this year. Listen to mainstream music, and rock's mostly gone now. That's the closest we got.

Their album before that was actually very rock, and actually pretty heavy.

God I hate Chandelier... mainly due to the way she pronounces Chandelier That would be because she's from a different country and has a different accent to Americans.

Don't disagree with the entries. I really don't think this nor the Worst lists needed to be in 2 parts each, however.
