It's been up for at least a week or two on Roku. It's a good service, but has the same problem of a few Roku channels (ad supported, with the cuts being completely random- and if you don't want ads, you have to pay.) EDIT with Kash Flagg giving more info on it: The cuts work better for the TV shows on the channel and go where the commercial breaks should be (tried for both Fridays/Weird Al episodes), but they really suck for the non-TV show episodes (while watching the Paul Mooney standup special on the channel, there were a few times where it cut right in the middle of a line/joke. Sometimes, like the other channels made by the same group, the video would just end right after the commercials outright, even though the show/special hadn't ended.)

I like that Evening at the Improv is on there. Its terribly dated now, but I loved watching it on A&E when I was a kid. Plus The Bob Newhart Show, and Newhart. Good stuff.

Watched Touch of Satan MST3K on there and the ads came at the right breaks. Granted the ads were incredibly loud and the same 4 ads, but came at the right times.

Call me when they get SCTV on there. They produced the DVD set and for some reason, did not subtitle the earlier stuff. I hope they remedy this.

Yeah. I gotta add this to my Roku.
The MST3K, Home Movies & Herzog stuff will keep me busy for a while.

I think Shout! sells the Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation DVDs. So are episodes of that show streaming as well? Much like what CM Punk asked about the WWE Network, how does things like residuals work for writers, directors, producers, and actors who participated in the shows streamed work out? Watched Touch of Satan MST3K on there and the ads came at the right breaks. Granted the ads were incredibly loud and the same 4 ads, but came at the right times. That's the thing that chaps my ass about Crackle is how arbitrary the ad breaks are. I like that Evening at the Improv is on there. Its terribly dated now, but I loved watching it on A&E when I was a kid. Plus The Bob Newhart Show, and Newhart. Good stuff. I remember watching reruns of the last couple of years of Evening at The Improv at 6 a.m. Monday-Friday before heading off to school back when I was in Jr. High. Even though the show had its peak in the 80's it actually went well into the 90's. In fact I remember a guitar comic doing a parody of "Take Me Out to The Ballgame" about the 1994 Major League Baseball strike (which by then was at least three to years old when I saw this episode). I actually got a DVD of An Evening at The Improv DVD (well, that show and the Rascals Comedy Hour, which was one of many "An Evening...." knock offs) and the cover showed Kelsey Grammar and Jason Alexander and I was thinking "I never heard of these guys having pre-fame stand up careers!" Turns out they hosted episodes of An Evening at The Improv and the people who put out the DVDs just put their opening monologues (Jason's being about life post-Seinfeld after being best known as Julia Roberts' attempted rapist in "Pretty Woman". Kelsey basically talks about his escape plan if his hosting gig goes south) from their respective episodes on the DVD like they were stand up sets. Oh release forms, you're the gift that keeps on giving! It'd be interesting if Grammar actually made a go at stand up seeing as how he is such a product of television, films and the "legitimate" theater, I'd love to see him deal with a rowdy Saturday night crowd or some shit gig one nighter in the middle of the week.

They have the Bew Zealand show The Tribe up.
I don't remember what network showed it, here in the US years ago, but I really enjoyed it.
You could play a drinking game about the people on that show that would later show up on Power Rangers, though you would get drunk really quickly.

OK, not familiar with a lot of what Shout! has released on DVD, so forgive for asking a stupid question. Is anything they have released on DVD on the site, or is it all separate stuff? Asking before I go out and spend money on the Zyuranger box set.

Much like what CM Punk asked about the WWE Network, how does things like residuals work for writers, directors, producers, and actors who participated in the shows streamed work out? Think it works the same way as syndication residuals. You get about half an episode's pay for the first time it's rerun, then it starts going down incrementally until you're getting like 10 checks for 7 cents every week. Unlike WWE, the actual entertainment industry has unions and contracts that cover such things.

Unlike WWE, the actual entertainment industry has unions and contracts that cover such things. The Hollywood unions got me thinking about this and I'm pretty sure there is no uniform rule for residuals online. I believe it was a point brought up in the 2008 Writers Guild strike but that is one thing they kind of had to concede on and thus there is no hard, fast rule on this.

Asking before I go out and spend money on the Zyuranger box set. The selection is really small, at this point. They have none of the Saban properties up, closest to that is the stream of the Power Morphicon convention from this past Summer, which is 4 hours long. No way will Zyu be put up. Future releases are dependent on that doing well. Putting it up for streaming will kill that dead.
