I actually agree 100%. If they were gonna end the streak, that needed to be the end of the Undertaker. I don't like him wrestling again at all. Now, he feels totally pointless. Which is an interesting discussion. Let's say he jobbed to Giant Gonzalez at WM 9 to further that feud and the Streak never happened, how would Taker's career (especially at Mania) have been booked? Without the Streak, Taker's career seems rather insignificant overall.

Streak or no streak, I'm dying to see Taker and Wyatt at WM31 and his final match at WM32. I will never grow tired of seeing The Dead Man.

The streak should've never been broken, period. If they were dead set on breaking it, that should have been the final Undertaker match. Not only did they kill off a cool part of each WrestleMania, they completely devalued every Undertaker match from here on out. The interest is gone. I'm completely the opposite with this. For me, having the Streak was one of the worst parts of Mania, wasting two great guys (most of the time) on an absolute foregone conclusion just to give Taker something to do. It's far more interesting for me now that there's a possibility he can actually lose. I've been adamant that they should have ended it years ago.

The only streak that matters is AJ Lee's
1-0 at Wrestlemania.

I hope Wyatt wins to put Undertaker on a new streak - a Wrestlemania LOSING streak.

No. The streak is over so there's no pressure on Taker anymore. It makes a match between Wyatt intriguing because we won't know who is gonna win.
Plus Brock will be gone after Mania, so we won't hear all the "1 in 21-1" stuff.

I loved the streak ending, and am still clinging to the hope that UT is gone for good. I've been throughly bored with his Wrestlemania shtick for 5 or 6 years.

Without the Streak, has he really done anything legendary, though? I'm not trying to take anything away from his talent, his matches at Mania are typically very good, but 'lucking' into that streak really made his last 10 years or so more meaningful than they likely would have been otherwise.

What do you consider legendary? The Hell in a Cell matches with HBK and Mankind, the casket match with Yokozuna where he showed up on the screen, the lightning powers, the abduction of Teddy Long, Undertaker vs. Underfaker. Some of that is corny as hell, sure, but it's all spectacle (which was kinda the point of the gimmick), it's all memorable. And, the dude reinvented his character and maintained his relevancy from one Era of WWF to the next. Sure, the last few years, he's only come back to defend his streak, but that's after being a significant figure in WWE for over a decade.

Streak or no streak, Taker is a legend. No doubt about it.

From here on out, whether its 5 more matches or 1, it has to be far more personalized of a feud for Taker and anyone he faces.
And no, the streaks no longer a thing (but as people have mentioned, you can reference it to up the ante) but what CAN be on the line is Takers career. Which might not mean as much as the streak but still means a lot.
