Do you like the DC universe and MK style Fighting games? If so probably. Ended up buying it last night. I suck at fighting games, but so far, so good. That’s my camp. I’m not good and don’t necessarily love fighting games, but because DC and loot I gave it a try and liked it enough. Not enough to “get good” at, but enough to kill a decent chunk of time.

Sonic Mania and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection this month
Pretty good. I always enjoy Sonic, and I've always fancied checking out Borderlands.

Death Stranding is a game I have almost zero interest in, but know I’ll get Day 1 just because of the hype around it.
On the plus, the new trailer was the first one to have a positive impact on me. Every other one just had me shaking my head at the whacky nonsense.

Sonic Mania and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection this month Pretty good. I always enjoy Sonic, and I've always fancied checking out Borderlands. There’s also the rumor of the new DLC for Borderlands 2 coming this year before BL3 comes out which sort of makes this one a genius bit of Plus promotion. Also Sonic Mania is class which makes this one the best in a while.

Beat Days Gone tonight.
Started slow, but won me over the course of the game to absolutely loving it at the end.
It’s not a 12/10 PSExclusive classic like The Last of Us or God of War, but it’s only a step below.

Resident Evil 7 is great, but, I feel like I'm near the endgame and it's been kinda short. I'm glad I waited until it was cheaper.
Great game, but given it's short length, I'd have been pissed off if I'd spent full price on it.

That's a nice PSPlus month. Already have the Handsome Collection, but Sonic Mania's been on my radar for some time.

About to go in the testing room.

Well, the "I absolutely love this game" streak is over for me. Since realizing I like non-sports games, I've been enjoying catching up on games since December. Today, I started Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and I'm not in love.
It's a fine game for what it is. However, after playing so many games driven by the story and leading me from chapter to chapter, I am missing that clear structure feeling. It's also quite simple and quick. I'm almost halfway through the main story and I didn't play for super long. I don't really mind a quicker game since I probably need that after a few longer games. However, the quickness of each mission is not allowing me to get invested.
I'm still going to finish it, though. I happen to have the sequel (got both games as a gift) - is it better than the first?

I got like halfway into Mordor before quitting... it was fine, but I just stopped caring. I also have the sequel and haven’t touched it. Lol

I will say this, if the game's not hitting you just right, don't feel obligated to finish it right now. Some you gotta be in a certain mood for, or certain season for. WhileI love finishing games too, forcing yourself to slog through something is a quick way to escalate burnout. You're supposed to first and foremost be getting enjoyment from these games.

The epilogue of Days Gone just went in the most stupid direction. But so stupid that I can’t wait for the DLC to see what the hell they do with it. So mission accomplished, I guess!

Mordor is only good becausr of the excellent nemesis system. Without that its mediocre.
The nemesis system needs using elsewhere. Imagine GTA with it?
