The program has been pretty good, but it really bothers me that the US title has been a non-factor in the feud. Especially when you consider how important the title was in John Cena's career. The biggest problem I would have if they focused a ton on the US Title and Cena's history with it is: The story would turn into about Cena trying to rebuild himself into the World Champion by winning back his old title on the way. Rusev would go from being his big WM feud into being looked at as a potential stepping stone for Cena. Then, if Rusev wins it focuses too much on Cena failing his ascension back towards the title and not enough on Rusev cementing himself as a main event superstar. It could be fixed with good writing, but...you know... I think Cena should actually win the U.S. Title. It seems like it would be better that way for the company as a whole. Rather than Creative trying to write "The John Cena feud" and pretend that they care about the U.S. Title, the John Cena feud would already contain the belt, so they're covered. Since "Cena Wins" anyway, he might as well have a title while doing it. I believe that Cena could potentially be the guy to unify the U.S. and IC Titles. It would be a nice little "thank you" for carrying the company for so long, as well as a good way to keep him in a relatively elevated position while other guys get the main event spotlight.

I am optimistic. I liked what they did last night, and I feel both men will help the other do what they do best in their match.
I have to give Lana credit, too, I think she did an excellent job.

I still say Rusev goes over clean before the feud is over.

I was not expecting to enjoy this feud nearly as much as I am now. Everyone looks great. John Cena's Jay-Z circa Black Album attitude and the way that Rusev and Lana are just knocking their roles out of the park have all been tremendous.
Call me cautiously optimistic. I never expected them to make it this far with it being done as well as it has.

I appreciate Rusev and Lana
Cena is terrible. His promo material is the shits.

This will cement Cenas legacy of destroying talent if he goes over.

It was solid. But I just cannot buy into the US vs Russia thing. I don't hate Rusev and Lana, even though they say I should. I guess the three did their job well but I was not emotionally involved.

I honestly think with the US Title involved, Rusev gets the first win.
I don't care if Cena gets every win after, please just give Rusev the first win.
