I don't play as many video games anymore manly because I don't have as much free time to anymore. It's that or games today just to have the appeal to me as much as they use to.

Not if you still want to play them and they are not interfering with your life and your family, school, work, etc. I would think it's like watching television. There are times in your day when you settle down and get your mind off of work or school. I don't see a problem with playing video games during this time. Personally, I stopped playing video games at around age 24, though by then I was just playing football and WWE games. I just kind of lost interest in video games around that age.

Not unless you're one of "those" folk who subscribes to the opinion that video games are for snot nosed hooligans and people should grow out of them. In any other case, nah.

We live in a world where games are aimed at adults. GTA, Call Of Duty, Football Manager etc are all adult games and to be honest it's pretty rare to find a pure kids game anymore.
My Uncle is nearing 50 and he still plays video games occasionally. I think as long as it's not taking over your life it's fine to play until you're old.

Honestly, I was flagging a bit in regards to video games recently. A few new releases (Far Cry 4, WWE 2k15, Dragon Age Inquisition) have revived my interest significantly though.

I like the darker type games. Games darker in story and appearance. Brightly coloured games don't appeal to me as much. You should definitely try Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the GameCube, or Wii if you have one that plays GC games. That game was incredible; brilliant storytelling mixed in with plenty of Lovecraft influence.

One should only stop gaming when there are more important things in life to be doing.
I love gaming, but between working my regular job as a hotel night supervisor, working my side job making websites freelance, studying PHP and CSS so I can make my side job my main job, making time to see my son, and trying to fit in daily yoga routines, cooking (I don't eat anything processed), and maintain some small semblance of a social life, all of a sudden gaming just doesn't fit in.

Honestly, all these people who say "Oh your to old to be playing video games" can sod off.
If you want to continue games up until your 90 Years old than that's your right to do so... There is no limit as to how long you can Video Games for.
I have to admit though I'm not as big a gamer as I use to be.. Once upon a time I could have happily stayed indoors all day playing Video Games, now it drives me mad.
I have zero Interest in things like Call of Duty, Battlefield, pretty much all FPS's etc.
The only games that Interest me are Racing and Fighting games.
Forza Horizon 2 is the game living in my machine atm.

Eh....
I'm losing a lot of my love for games these days, but I still enjoy the medium. If you're like me and you think a lot of these new school blockbusters are actually flashy, empty nonsense, then go back. A good game is a good game.
If you just don't care anymore, then stop. It's an expensive hobby and if you're not having fun, then what's the point?

And do what exactly?
Go outside? Nothing but weirdos out there. Watch tv? Breaking Bad finished. Read a book? I've read all the good ones.
Other than working, sleeping and occasionally socializing, video games pass the time of what is a very long and dull life perfectly. You only get one life, do whatever the f*** entertains you during it as long as it's harmless.

You should stop if it's negatively affecting your life.

I grew up with an Atari 2600 and followed it up in 1985 with an NES. I played video games from the time I was 5 up until I was in my early 20's. I stopped because I just lost interest. There certainly isn't an age limit though. If you want to continue playing, then do so!

Yeah. Unless you've got a piss jar right next to you.
You know, I stopped playing video games really about a decade ago. They're just not one of the things I want to devote a lot of time to and the trend seemed to be moving away from quick, fun games you can play to long, epic, sprawling, weeks of game time, type games. And I just don't have the time. That being said, I've got a friend who plays a lot of stuff on his computer and even I can appreciate how far games have come and how things like Steam being an indie game platform have really opened up the medium to being more than just shoot em ups or adventure/sports games. There's a lot of art that goes into some of those games.

I still play games however as I entered my 30's, the free time I used to have to play games has now moved on to other things. Now maybe I'll play for 5-6 hours a week tops.

isn't that kind of like asking if there's a cutoff date for when you can't read books or watch TV? In a nutshell. If gaming makes you happy, you enjoy the hobby, then there is no reason to stop.

I doubt I'll ever stop playing video games, but life starts to get in the way of them as you get older.
When Fallout 3 came out, and I was single and childless, I could go home and play it for 4-5 hours a day and all day on weekends.
Now that I'm married with kids, I picked up New Vegas and have managed to average a whopping half hour a day on it. On a weekend I'm lucky if I can get 2-3 hours in.
