I'm a huge fan of WCW especially from 99-01 and didn't know that Bischoff ever spoiled things again after having Schiavone announce Foley winning the World Title caused him to lose the January 4th battle.
People can say what they want but I think this was a cool idea and it probably stopped people from going over a lot of the time.

Yeah, I remember hearing him give it away, flipping over to RAW and going "They cannot be that dumb". Gotta say, I stayed to see how stupid it could get and loved it.

I'll forever prefer WCW over WWE, but shit like this was (obviously) extremely unprofessional. I still cringe watching him give away the results of Raw.

The funny thing about it is that Vince being the higher power was the reason Stephanie turned on him and joined HHH, and really, it wasn't that unreasonable a motivation. She even showed respect to Stone Cold from saving her that time from becoming Undertaker's dark bride.

There's been ratings proof that showed the exact opposite of this comment. It worked great when Nitro was an exciting product, and Raw was a stagnant boring program, like it was in 95. But when the tactic is essentially informing the WCW audience that there's something better going on in the WWF, not so much. |

This was the summer Wild Wild West came out and I like to imagine it was Eric and Vince trying to get people to stay in and watch wrestling and not go out to see Wild Wild West.

Apparently, Bischoff didn't even know if this was true or not. He was essentially making an educated guess, and afterwards people backstage were nervously watching Raw hoping he was right.

Apparently, Bischoff didn't even know if this was true or not. He was essentially making an educated guess, and afterwards people backstage were nervously watching Raw hoping he was right. Ah, the Summer of Suck in WCW. It's the reason I'm such a cold, cynical bastard today. Of course he didn't, Raw was live full time by that point. |

I'm not sure what the heck the problem is with the video on my end but I can hear the opening WWF chords but once it cuts to the actual Nitro clip I'm getting no sound at all.
