Seems to be the direction we are headed in. Will probably come when TNA wants to cut down the catering bill.

For me Abyss seems to be a guy who is so incredibly loyal that he'll take a pay cut, let TNA treat him like shit and use/abuse his body simply because he's a company guy and loves TNA.
He'll be there on the final Impact I think. Him, Storm, Borash and Roode are lifers.

Roode's contract actually ended without no one in TNA management noticing and he had to call them to remind them to renew it. Anyone else would called WWE first to see what they are offering first. Abyss is the Tommy Dreamer of TNA when it comes to personal and financial sacrifices in the name of company loyalty. So look for Abyss in 5 years working indy shows trying to keep the spirit of TNA alive.

When Abyss will be trying to start TNA chants they'll only end up booing. TNA is a joke to everyone who's not in TNA and even to some people in it. I can't say I'm looking forward to 45-year-old Abyss falling into tacks on a CZW show with a TNA shirt on.

It'll get to such a point that Abyss will jump the rail at Mania and get dragged off by security while screaming out "TNA! TNA! TNA!"

Abyss opening up a promotion called Nonstop Action Reunion. NAR.
Main event 50 year old Abyss Vs 50 year old James Storm as the crowd chant "f*** you Abyss" and "refund". Spud and Aries come out for their midcard match to chants of "save the show"

Roode and Storm I think are content in the fact that they will stick to TNA as long as TNA wants them. They are a lil too old to sit in NXT for a year or two and making decent money with TNA.

TNA needs to commit to a rebuilding/rebranding effort. As much as it sucks to see Joe go, look at the amount of TV years he had. It was an eternity. There was no where left for him to go in TNA, and that applies to everyone who has been there for 5-10+ years.
Just get rid of every big name (Angle, Hardy, Roode, Storm, Abyss, EY, Aries, etc) and start from scratch. Yes, it's probably going to lead to a dull period for the company as they try to integrate new talent but how much worse can it get from where they are now? Sign more EC3's, then kiss Universal's ass to get a full-time taping gig over there, and move forward.

I think Abyss is one of those guys that's lucky to get as high up the wrestling chain as he did and for that alone he'll be forever grateful to TNA, grateful enough to stick around until the day they lead him out of the door. He got a long way doing essentially a ripoff Mankind gimmick, got to wrestle some of the biggest names in wrestling and made something of a name for himself, things I can't see him ever achieving if TNA hadn't taken an interest.
