When i'm starting to look at Kurt now it's becoming harder and harder for the first memory to pop in my mind of him is how great he is and was. I see a man who just looks much older then you would think he is. Granted, Kurt can still out do 65% of guys he works with, but he's walking that line of ending up with a Mick Foley/Hulk Hogan type body where it will be hard to watch him walk. Hopefully Kurt sticks to his word and does plan on wrapping it up soon.

Kurt will only retire when he either can't walk or is dead. As sad as that is that's just his personality.

Kinda amazing to think he's been in TNA significantly longer than he ever was in WWE.

Kinda amazing to think he's been in TNA significantly longer than he ever was in WWE. & yet he has more highlight moments in WWE then he does TNA. It was fun to see Kurt do a 450 but i'm sure people remember him stalking Stephanie more then that.

My issue with Kurt Angle is that I'm a huge fan of the guy and I don't want to see him die in a wrestling ring or become seriously injured (Injured is more realistic)
The perfect role for him right now is to put him in a tag team with a younger guy where Kurt can just do a little at the start, get the hot tag, run in, beat the heels and celebrate. Not only would Kurt be kept relatively safe but he'd also help get a younger guy over and you'd still have a "star" on the show. BUt, that isn't good enough for TNA and they've now made him one of their top guys on television despite the fact he's in his mid 40's and has had multiple serious injures in the past (One being as recent as last year)
TNA does not need Kurt Angle to be wrestling as apart of the main event scene anymore. They have Jeff Hardy who's just as popular (If not more) who could easily slip into Kurt Angle's role. Instead, in classic TNA fashion they have it ass backwards and Kurt Angle is working towards challenging for the World Title whilst Jeff is in midcard hell with his brother.

He's just like Flair and Hogan was in the late 90s, refusing to admit that his time has passed and its time to step aside and so doing anything he can so he can be in the spotlight just a few seconds longer.

I expect Kurt to just shatter into pieces like a broken china plate one day

Is it bad that whenever I think of Kurt's body slamming into the canvas in TNA I just see it as a waste of a bump? Like I have heard wrestlers say you have only so many bumps in you until you're done. And Kurt is wasting his body and bumps by taking some pretty hefty falls and gruelling matches in TNA to a small audience. Sure the first few years in TNA, fine, but now, its just wasting bumps that he could have one day had for one last WWE match.

Kurt's presence in TNA has made me sad for many, many years at this point.
I know he's much better than that. He's a guy who's wasted his best years being in a secondary company because he refused to get the help he needed when the WWE fired him for his own safety reasons and now he's spent the majority of his career there. I just wish he'd have listened and rested up and got the help required before returning to the WWE fresh and ready to go.
Every time he signs on for more years with TNA, I flip a table. I only have so many tables I have to flip before I have to start leaving my house and flipping tables in other people's houses, which might get me in serious trouble, so I seriously hope Kurt is done with signing for TNA soon.

Sadly, as far an in ring match go I think that ship has sailed for him in WWE. WWE seems to be at a point where they rather their old guys with injuries be ambassadors for the company then continue to wrestle. Christain is essentially retired because his body is so beat up. Kurt would make a great trainer but I don't know if he's ready for that.

He is probably the highest or second highest earner and only wrestles 20-30 dates a year (He doesn't do House Shows anymore) He could probably make more with the WWE but they don't seem to be interested. He can't really just run around the indies either because nobody is giving him the money TNA does for just 20-30 shows a year.

The last time I truly enjoyed Kurt in TNA- unironically- was near the end of the Main Event Mafia. His WWE run made him one of my all time favorites, but at this stage we've seen everything he has to offer.

There's absolutely no way he's retiring after this year. He's the same age now that Sting was when he started his yearly contracts in 2006. I could see him still wrestling into his early-mid 50s. Maybe in a part time schedule, but he'll still be wrestling in some capacity. He's not the type of guy to just train others. He wants to be in there himself.

I think training others could do it for him, HHH gets it from NXT and the younger guys and you have others who fit well as agents.

I think Triple-H should bury the hatchet with Angle as soon as Angle's deal starts to wind down. TNA would lose a top guy, but it would be a good thing for Angle.

I think a special attraction type of wrestler like Brock would be best for him if he still really wants to wrestle a few years from now. Wrestle a few times a year, and spend the rest of the time training other guys where he can still be in there but not working full matches.

I think Stephanie will be a medium on that front. If we are to believe they will eventually take over then they are going to need a good circle of people who can do the things they can't do on a regular basis. Kurt being a leading hand in NXT as far as trainers go gives guys another layer in that technical aspect.
