A Royal Rumble win most of the time ends in you having a WM moment, so that must have been kind of hard for Reigns to swallow - but it just wasn't his time. Instead his character has grown and his chase for the gold will now end up being far more interesting than if he'd just won. As soon as he heard that reaction at the Rumble he would have known something was going to change. Hell, all he needed to do was look at his cousin's reaction to know winning the title at WM wasn't going to happen. Yeah I imagine there were some very frank discussions made that night. The bigger picture is always more important.

It's better for Rollins to win it. The MITB contract is a pain in the ass, and it's better to be rid of it, otherwise it would have been hanging over everything and complicating feuds. The key issue for me is the IC title and where it goes from here. They have a chance to build it up into something great again, if they can resist the temptation to continue treating it like shit.

Man, I'm just so happy. WWE managed to put the title on the guy who was most ready for it AND made Reigns way more interesting than he would have been if he won tonight.

I counted 4 F5s total, and he was only pinned for the second and third. Still, I don't think anyone's been hit with 4 F5s in a match. It normally don't take more than one. Two in a big match. Three if you're the Undertaker. Reigns was about as far from buried as you can get. He only lost because of an unexpected element like Rollins. Yes, visually Reigns wasn't buried. But title picture wise, it's about as close to that as you can get. Booking wise, the title has become Lesnar's to win back. Reigns just lost the match, Brock got his title stolen from him by the heel corporate stable. They wanted the spotlight to be with Roman and it's going to end up being Brock's instead, so in a grand scheme, it buries him from the spot that WWE wants him. Reigns still has huge heat with Rollins for The Shield break up. You know Reigns is going to go right for Rollins. Especially when Brock can't be there all the time, Reigns is going to be the obvious go to for Rollins's defending. Under screwy means and after taking that beating from Lesnar, Reigns will be the feud for Rollins for the immediate future. The Authority might throw the gauntlet in front of Reigns, but you know Reigns will make it to Rollins in short order.

Fi just got back from a Wrestlemania party. I thought it was a great show!! I honestly didn't expect Sting to lose, but I got the feeling they were teasing an NWO/WCW vs DX match somewhere down the line. I really enjoyed the show.

I'd figure they're going to go ahead with that Bryan: Face of SmackDown idea and have him be having the top feud on there each week over it and make it kind of the replacement for the World title in terms of the thing the second-rung guys go for. I'm wondering about the US title, because only scenario I can see with that is Cena proceeding to never defend it or lose it straight back to Rusev.

To be fair, I think Rollins was a logical enough conclusion and gives Reigns a target that will be there every week. Hell, for all we know, this was always a result that was on the table from the get go. Doubt it. I never buy the masterplan argument. The Rumble reaction changed their plans again most likely. I agree its doubtful, I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Big Show winning his dad's battle royale makes no sense to me, especially sacrificing Itami along the way, but nothing concerning Big Show ever makes any sense. AJ/Paige won. That alone makes me happy. 2-0 bitches! I don't understand the HHH win at all. I don't even know what Bray's character is anymore. Kevin Thorn was more intimidating. Shame about Cena winning, but that was inevitable. It won't matter. Rusev and Lana are already too over to be affected by it.

I'm guessing Extreme Rules will have Reigns against Lesnar for the number one contendership to blow that feud off and write Brock out until SummerSlam, while Rollins will defend against Orton.

very good WRESTLEMANIA31 TERRIBLE scheduling for it flat as a pancake musical interlude i missed rhonda roussy kicking stephanie's lovely behind THANK YOU CRAPPY STREAM and for you pony folk ..... best not see the RESUUUULT of that ending ironically the worst match was the wyatt/undertaker match, but being worst in that card is pretty good too! oh and that REAL ending, where reigns is laying there and the fireworks going on ..... Did you see Sting/Triple H? The last half of that match trumps anything else in terms of "worst on card." What an overbooked mess that had a ridiculous ending. The ending of the championship match was amazing, though. Rollins deserve the belt and I think Reigns chasing him will get Reigns to the place WWE wants him.

The fact he didn't win the gold at Mania shows they were hesitant. Hell, he could have won the title tonight just to gauge reaction and then do the cash in tomorrow night. The fact they didn't even take the chance I think is saying something.

Originally I had Neville penciled in to be that guy, but oh well. Especially with Itami getting He-day-oh! chants during the battle royale, it just made sense until Local Man just had to ruin everything. At least he got an elimination.
