They should now do what they've needed to do. Give Reigns time. Don't rush him to be the chosen one. Let him develop and improve, which he will.

Man, that really was a smart ending. It got the title off Brock without Brock losing. It also got rid of the cash-in that would have continued to be looming. Also, Roman is just not ready and it protects Roman from being made WWE Champion when the time just wasn't right. Of course there is something to be said for someone not winning it in their first big opportunity effects things later, but I think Reigns will be okay.

So that's how you save Wrestlemania.
It was already saved by the great matches it had, but this was both the icing and cherry on top.

They aborted again, just like last year. They knew they couldn't end WM with Reigns as champion. It's a shame they find a suitable conclusion only after being beaten over the head with rejection. To be fair, I think Rollins was a logical enough conclusion and gives Reigns a target that will be there every week. Hell, for all we know, this was always a result that was on the table from the get go. Doubt it. I never buy the masterplan argument. The Rumble reaction changed their plans again most likely.

Best part of all. Roman wasn't made to look strong, Brock was. And I say that as a Reigns fan.

F***er took five finishers to put down, had the title stolen from him, and didn't have to deal with the stigma of being a two minute champion. And this way since he got so close and got screwed he might build up some sympathy when if he'd won the crowd would've just kept right on booing.

You know if they build him up to SummerSlam they might just have their new top guy. He was good tonight and I now consider myself a fan. Agreed. I was on the fence before. I didn't think he was ready like just about everyone here or consider myself a fan, but I also didn't hate or even dislike him. I really enjoyed his performance tonight. Always liked him cause (shallow as it is) he looks cool and has cool power moves. I think it will help him in the long run as well.

A Royal Rumble win most of the time ends in you having a WM moment, so that must have been kind of hard for Reigns to swallow - but it just wasn't his time. Instead his character has grown and his chase for the gold will now end up being far more interesting than if he'd just won.

He had Lesnar beat practically after taking a VICIOUS beating. Then slimeball Rollins comes down and ruins it. If anything, Roman AND Brock were both protected with this finish. It hurt no-one. It doesnt matter who took the pin.

As soon as he heard that reaction at the Rumble he would have known something was going to change. Hell, all he needed to do was look at his cousin's reaction to know winning the title at WM wasn't going to happen.

If someone told you one year ago that after the next Mania, Rollins would be WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Cena would be US Champion, and Daniel Bryan would be Intercontinental Champion, who would have believed that?!?! Remember, one year ago it looked like Rollins was the member of the Shield most likely to be lost in the shuffle if the Shield broke up.

Kicking out of three F5s doesn't scream buried to me I counted 4 F5s total, and he was only pinned for the second and third. Still, I don't think anyone's been hit with 4 F5s in a match. It normally don't take more than one. Two in a big match. Three if you're the Undertaker. Reigns was about as far from buried as you can get. He only lost because of an unexpected element like Rollins. Yes, visually Reigns wasn't buried. But title picture wise, it's about as close to that as you can get. Booking wise, the title has become Lesnar's to win back. Reigns just lost the match, Brock got his title stolen from him by the heel corporate stable. They wanted the spotlight to be with Roman and it's going to end up being Brock's instead, so in a grand scheme, it buries him from the spot that WWE wants him.

I'm gonna say for sure this WM was better than WM XXX. I don't know if Could put it ahead of X-7. In fact I don't think I could. But it was damn good. Nothing was crap. Most of it was really good.
