Yes, funny how two different situations result in different opinions from one man and people having opinions on each opinion. I mean like people saying he must be trying to overrate Reigns when he clearly agreed with those who aren't in favor of the big push and would have no reason to do that I see no posts like that in this thread. Now maybe it is in another thread but that has no purpose in here really.

There is no need to grasp at straws for potshots at those opposite you. We did this last year, no need this year.

And Stardust/Goldust was an effing DUD. I liked it, and the crowd wasn't 100% dead. It told a story, it existed, I'm lobbying for two stars at least. Agree to disagree here. I thought the crowd was not into it at all, and it was very disappointing considering that this was finally the Rhodes Brothers match that we've all been waiting for, and the talent of the two involved. I'm still confident that if they have a match at Mania that they'll have a good match. But they were extremely limited by their weak storyline and lack of a real build.

Match ratings like movie ratings are highly subjective. I also dislike 3/4 start half is fine that make it a 10 scale which is fine but adding 1/4 stars makes it a 20 point scale which just seems like to much range. Still I fell like his ratings are pretty spot on. I think he was to harsh on The Authority vs. Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, & Erick Rowan but other than that he pretty much agrees with me.

Funny how when Meltzer commented on the Reigns/Bryan situation in terms of push everyone agreed with everything he said. But when he rates the match they had higher than they did he's apparently out of his mind It's almost like the IWC actually does have different opinion on different things and doesn't worship at the word of Da Meltz. That's what you were alluding to, right?

The match managed to wake up a crowd that was dead for a whole night, so that in itself should rank it above 4 stars.
I think it's overrated a little, but not much. It was the second best match I have seen this year in the WWE and I would give it about 4. The Rumble Triple Threat still tops it and will likely top anything else for the rest of the year. It's going to be almost impossible to top that and I don't see anything at Wrestlemania coming close.

Didn't some god awful Cena VS Wyatt match get 4 1/2 stars last year? Meltzer seems to always have one match a year that has no business being a 4+ star match, sounds like we got ours for this year.

Man, even Meltzer tries to push Reigns down our throats. Maybe he's "paycheck" was a bit higher than usual (;

It's a 3 1/2 star match, no more.

You mean the Last Man Standing match? That was one of the best matches of the year. It had this spot for crying out loud

Star ratings don't matter. Does Dave Meltzer really matter?

Shame about Goldust/Stardust and Ambrose/Barrett. Can't say I disagree with the ratings. It's just a shame given what both matches could have been.

What I saw of Reigns / Bryan, which was admittedly probably only about half of it, I wouldn't call good. It just felt like a dull, sloppy thing of two people trading big moves back and forth until one of them hit one outta nowhere because those are the only finishers that actually work anymore.

I can not agree with his rating of Paige vs Nikki, I liked the match.

Reigns Vs Lesnar is a guaranteed 2-star at the least, in experience alone.
