No one will ever convince me that the transition from wrestlers being ritual-obsessed carny bullies who get wasted after every show to them being affable nerds who go back to their hotel and play video games is anything but a very, very good thing. Sure, you might not get the crazy road stories you used to, but it's a small price to pay for less people dying young and no one's life being made a misery just because they violate some bizarre, archaic etiquette rule.
I bet there was quite a bit of rejoicing in the back when Holly was released and JBL retired. It's hard to equate the Bob Holly I met in 2013 to the guy from these stories, maybe he's just mellowing in his later years, or he's good at putting on a respectable front in public.

I was just thinking... if they set up cameras and released "Wrestler's Court" as a series on the Network? Worth $9.99 alone.
Just shell for rights to this theme.

I like to picture that Wrestler's Court functions exactly like it does on the JBL & Cole Show.

I can see undertaker being the judge during the 2004 diva search and being like "EVERYONE SHUT THE f*** UP AND LET THE BLONDE, LANKY ONE TALK." "THE ONE WITH THE REALLY MONOTONE VOICE."

What I do not understand is the purpose of the dress code. Why do pro wrestlers have to dress in suits and business wear when they are traveling on the road? What is the company's rationale behind it? Could you imagine, back in the day, Hogan and Macho Man traveling from show to show in Armani suits?

I more don't get why nobody's contested it, since as they're independent contractors the company doesn't have the authority to order such a thing. Guess it just goes back to how much the company's run like a cult.

I think the dresscode is more of a don't-dress-as-a-bum/slob/hobo/Cm-Punk "rule", as, independent contractor or not, the wrestlers are representing the company in the public eye, even when they are "off".
