Anyone else think he would've made a great heel commentator? This is based off of hearing him on PPVs in 1996.
I think he could've been a great replacement for Lawler.

I do, I thought he did an awesome job at King of the Ring 96.

He was superb at King of the Ring 96.
He would have made an outstanding colour commentator on a regular basis once his wrestling career finished.

He should've called every single Marc Mero match. His ripping on Sable for being "homely" and having no value as a manager was one of the funniest bits of commentary ever.
He didn't get all shooty about it either, just stayed in character and let it work.

Yeah he was one of those rare heel announcers who was calm and collected but pretty sarcastic.

Yeah, anyone who hasn't seen the Austin vs. Hart match from South Africa should watch it if only for Hart's job on commentary (also, JR worked really well with him, which only made things better).
