Not really sure if it counts Anyone here f*** with Estelle, Jhene Aiko, Janelle Monae or Chris Brown Chris Brown is a hit maker even though I don't care for his music. You did that on purpose.

Giving the Chance the Rapper & Donnie Trumpet "Surf" album another run. It might be my favorite album of 2015

I don't know what it is about Kendrick, his concepts are cool and all that but the actual verses just don't click for me.

Janelle is amazing. I don't listen to enough Jhene to form an opinion on her, but Chris Brown still has a lot of talent in spite of his attitude and mental/emotional issues, and Estelle is good on Steven Universe.

Uh oh. Remember when Lil Wayne's tour bus got shot up in April?
Turns out Young Thug and Birdman may have actually been behind it and have conspired to kill Wayne as they were indicted in the case today.

.....what sparked this beef to begin with Basically, there was a dispute over Wayne's latest album with Birdman refusing to release it despite Wayne repeatedly asking him to. In addition to Wayne feeling like he was getting screwed out of some money, he took to twitter to make the beef public and essentially told Baby, "drop my shit already or I'm gonna sue." It kinda spiraled out of control from there. I'm sure there are parts of the beef that are known only to Wayne and Baby but that's the jist of it.

I'm not sure what every one on here thinks of UK hip hop or if they are even aware of any, to be honest there is alot of shit uk hip hop out there so I've come to recommend one of my favourite british rappers.
He's worth checking out if your in to politically concious hip hop with razor sharp delivery, in fact I actually discovered him because he kept popping up on television shows discussing politics.
3 freestyles he did for Charlie Sloth on Radio 1 (he absolutely kills it)
this is one of my favourites from his new album
The track he did a video for from the new album
I've been listening to this alot recently as well, it's 5 years old now and on an aggy dubstep beat.
I guess this is his most well known track, (sample loneliness by tomcraft which was a big dance hit in Europe in the early 2000s) I don't really rate it that much though, bit too commersh, the beat and chorus does not suit his style at all.
I was going to link to some videos of him talking politics, but that would break the board rules, they're easy enough to find if your interested though.

Lil Wayne's back to work. He dropped "Glory" on Tidal & it's pretty dope. On another note, I would recommend The Alchemist's "Welcome to Los Santos." And as someone who hadn't previously heard Action Bronson rap, I thought that was Ghostface rapping. I wanna revisit this because the big guy (Ghost) is none too pleased with Mr. Bronson. Battling Ghostface is one of the last things I'd wanna do.

Gave the new Future a spin. I like it well enough. He's also being incredibly smart by hosting shows in small, intimate venues this week. Strike while the iron's hot

And as someone who hadn't previously heard Action Bronson rap, I thought that was Ghostface rapping. I wanna revisit this because the big guy (Ghost) is none too pleased with Mr. Bronson. Battling Ghostface is one of the last things I'd wanna do. This Bronson/Ghostface conflict is one of the most uninteresting overblown things in hip-hop to me at the moment. You have Bronson, one of the best doing it right now, whose voice made his records 3-4 year ago sound similar to Ghostface's. He's been getting Ghostface comparisons his entire career, finally on Sportsnation he misspeaks and says "Ghostface isn't making records like this anymore," which from an aesthetic standpoint is true as Bronson's veered into the overproduced extravagant production while Ghost has doubled-down on minimalist grimminess, a complete 180 for both men from where they were when Bronson first blew up five years ago making scuzzy New York bangers while Ghostface was doing lavish R&B records. He immediately, in the clip, realizes what he's said and goes on to say no shots fired, Ghost is a legend, etc. Ghost calls Bronson up immediately after the broadcast, understandably pissed. Bronson apologizes on the phone, and then after the conversation apologizes on Twitter. Four days later Ghostface uploads his six minute long tirade, threatening someone who has already manned up to his mistake. People love the clip because we haven't gotten any eccentric Ghostface in a while, but as someone who has been a listener for 16 years now, if Ghost was that mad and had a long weekend to release something, why not just make a record instead of a YouTube video? Not to yell at a cloud, but I miss rappers proving they were the better MC by proving it on record, instead of dueling ESPN/YouTube appearances.

I replayed To Pimp a Butterfly for the first time since it came out, and oh my god. "For Free" alone cements this as AotY.

I don't have a horse in the race between Meek (who can't go more than a week without a fresh beef) and Drake, but "Lord Knows" is impressive.

I seriously doubt Drake needs a ghostwriter for the verses he comes out with. If he does then...yikes.
