Proper sets for PPVs (other than Wrestlemania)
The Shield and The Wyatt Family
Separate brands and The Draft
Backstage brawls and segments where you could see other superstars in the background

Wrestlers not wearing their ring gear the whole show. In the opening segment HHH, Rock, Austin etc would be in jeans or casual clothing.
Matches with wrestlers being so intense and so full of hatred that they start punching each other before the bell ala most Austin matches.

The dumb ringside/in the crowd "piledriver attempt into a backdrop" spot. I have a soft spot for it. In other words, every Austin brawl in 98/99

Gorrilla and Jesse. The best commentary pairing ever. Their chemistry was absolutely phenomenal, and made any match seem like a legitimate, athletic competition while also sprinkling in doses of humor on the side. I can watch any show/PPV match with them and be thoroughly entertained.

seeing how bad the current product is hell just about everything. I'd honestly rather have russo writing then failed sitcom writers who lasted about 1 season for a crappy show before it got cancelled and ex reality tv writers when reality shows require the tiniest amount of writing skill. But i think the thing i miss the most is half decent announcing.

In other words, every Austin brawl in 98/99 Pretty much. He finally hit it, once, on Angle in 2001 on the concrete. About a 1% success rate!

heels using dirty tactics to get the upper hand, rather than simply outsmarting and/or blocking face's offensive move.

for me WWE TV feeling like must watch TV, it hasn't really been that cast for me in years. Even the worst elements of say the Attitude Era was worth watching because the show was exciting.

24/7 Hardcore Title
Not so much because of the "garbage wrestling", but because it felt like every RAW had a title match.... or 7

heels using dirty tactics to get the upper hand, rather than simply outsmarting and/or blocking face's offensive move. Heels shushing at the audience as they scream at the ref to turn around and see what dastardly no goodness he is up to

Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse Ventura (they make the current commentary sound minor league) Lower tier belts for the low/midcard guys (like the European title) Jim Ross Mean Gene interviewing Superstars & hyping up the card Announced time limits for matches Shorter RAWs (three hours of RAW every week is overkill IMO)

-When the announcers didn't called their own talent goofs, losers, etc. -When they didn't insult our intelligence -The energy of hyping your matches. Hogan & Flair were masters of making you believe this was life or death. -When Titles seemed important. Yes the WHC is top prize but what happened to the days when Dusty and Tully tried to kill one another over the TV belt? -Good announcing. Gorilla wasn't perfect but he treated the in ring action as must see. -A legitimate good midcard and tag division.
