She fits every requirement. She's the most featured female performer by far, writes her own dialogue in which she rarely gets snapped back on, and is generally made out to be the most competent villain, male or female, in the franchise. It's almost like she's trying to compensate for the old days when Austin would "accidentally" rip her top off or she'd be farted on by Triple H's ancient dog, Lucy.

Would she technically be an author avatar sue (if we're getting into the specifics of what kind of Mary Sue she is)?

Don't forget the part where she's completely bulletproof and will disappear from TV with zero comeuppance once she's bored of being the top heel on the show.

Stephanie would at least eat finishers during the Attitude Era to get her comuppance. Now her character is ridiculous. She won't even job or put over the females on the roster. It's ridiculous.
I think she just lives in her own bubble more than anything. Even when she tries to be sincere she ends up comparing 9/11 to her father's steroid trial. Seems very self absorbed.

Everytime Mary Sues get bought up I just end up confused about the term so... Maybe?

Even when she gets humiliated (slopped by Vickie, arrested for attacking Brie Bella, throwing a fit when Sting showed up to help Team Cena), she still finds a way to bounce back.

But guys, she's a strong powerful female! She only plays a bad guy on TV, so it's all cool.
No seriously, she's horrible.
But I don't know if I'd call her a mary sue. She's more like that villain who's always 5 steps ahead of everyone else, and is never phased when the hero eventually overcomes their latest plan. The best example of who I feel she's like is Thanos whenever he's written by Jim Starlin. Just fanfiction level crap.

The scenes where they have her talk down to another strong female heel and they cower in her presence to remind everyone that she's the 'top bitch' as it were (seen most recently with Lana) are some of my least favourite things about current WWE.

She totally is. I remember her having a face to face with Lana but she made sure to put down Putin.

It's too bad; by all accounts she can be one of the top heels on the show, but her insistence on pulling a Triple H (being the biggest, baddest person in the room and almost never getting comeuppance, at least nothing that lasts) totally hampers that.

It didn't really help that in her match with Brie, it was clear she COULD probably kick most of their asses. Kind of made for a different dynamic than when she was smaller and needed D-X to do her dirty work.

I've mentioned it before but I cannot stand her ripping apart everybody on the roster whilst they have to stand there like an idiot and take it. She even does it to other heels, I recall her embarrassing Seth Rollins a few weeks ago and she used to berate Orton weekly around this time last year. It just makes them all look like losers.
IRegardless of what we all think of Vince these days, as an on air character Vince knew what was required. At the end of the day he had to lose, he had to get his comeuppance and he was regularly humiliated. Stephanie just doesn't seem to understand that aspect.
The only time I've ever thought Stephanie added something to the product was her original heel turn way back in 1999 and then the run with the Mcmahon Helmsley regime when she was portrayed as a whiny spoilt weakling. She played that role really well, I wonder why, and actually allowed herself to look silly and weak. We got actual long term payoffs like Lita beating her for the title. Anything after than initial run though I've hated.
I suppose it's a mere coincidence that the only time she was bearable was when she wasn't on the writing team.
The only thing worse than current heel Stephanie is any version of babyface Stephanie.

HHH's 80's NWA fetish means we have this drawn out attempt at building heat for a pay-off but they are so over the place and fans too these days that the pay-off never comes.
It's like a night of foreplay so long you forget the sex and just get resentful at it all.

You should be able to say that about all good heels. If they ever properly put over and elevated any of the babyfaces they were working with, sure, no problem. They had to be dragged kicking and screaming to give a proper payoff for all the shitty things they did and said to Bryan at WM30.
