Yeah, I'm personally seeing it as more of a "Get your dumb WWE out of my NXT" kind of thing. That kind of sentiment definitely exists in a world where people are begging wrestlers to stay in developmental for fear of them not being booked good on the main roster. (Funny thing is, this is the most heat from a crowd that Big Show has had in years ) But Kidd, Riley and Cesaro are also "WWE" and they were all loved by this crowd. Yes I know they have/had NXT pushes but they are no more or less WWE than Ryback or Big Show Tyson Kidd was reborn and relevant at NXT, and Cesaro achieved NXT Godlike Status. And, I guess some people are okay with Alex Riley.

The "ten more years" thing was a fan telling Show to retire, and Show responded that he has 10 more years on his contract.
And despite not being on the show, Blue Pants was amongst the most over. God I love NXT.

But Kidd, Riley and Cesaro are also "WWE" and they were all loved by this crowd. Yeah, but all three proved their worth to this type of crowd back at Full Sail. Even Riley is kind of doing that with this angle with Owens. And... um... um... (Can't believe I'm going to use this gif again) Just use Dr. Krieger's "SMOKE BOMB!" next time.

Why the hell were Big Show and Ryback even on the card?
I would have replaced that match with Becky Lynch vs Blue Pants or if they can't get her, just throw Shoot Nation out there and have them beat up Bull Dempsey to the crowd's delight.

Can we ever just get results without the snobby comments about crowd pops and other smarky shit? I hate that so much.

Nice promo from Zayn here at the event: www.youtube.com/watch?v=agbn9if7OVYI have no doubt that if given a fair shake, he will reach Bryan-like popularity levels on the main roster.

Funnily enough, he'll probably get to those same levels even if he doesn't. After all, Bryan's gimmick for like his whole run has been "guy not given a fair shake", right?

Big Show was probably requested. That also ties into a similar problem- if this is the start of NXT touring and going away from "just" Full Sail shows- honestly, Big Show WOULD be the type of wrestler who'd be the right 'draw'-based guy for an NXT touring schedule- just show up, be an artificial big name for the brand for about 6 months to a year to get people interested until the NXT roster make a name for themselves on their own and run from there. Yes, Big Show would be despised by NXT fans...and that just makes it more of a point, since he WOULD be so hated by the fanbase that the NXT faithful would make even hated performers like CJ Parker or Mojo Rawley huge babyfaces- as long as they are willing to go after Big Show.

Maybe we need a drill sergeant on that, too. There's nothing wrong with Wrestler x faced wrestler y. Wrestler x won by doing his finisher. Instead we get long paragraphs about crowd pops and snobby comments about what worked and what didn't. I am not analyzing the thing. I have no stake in the product beyond a viewer. I don't care what the smarky crowd did, who they booed or the opinion of the writer. Just write the results. I don't want to see opinions about why the crowd chanted CM Punk. But hey, I am not brainwashed by meltzer and the like either.

How was the show advertised? Was Ryback/Big Show advertised because they weren't sure of filling the venue, and wanted to attract casual fans?

I'm guessing the Big Show vs Ryback match was to test reactions. It's probably dark.
Smarks always change their opinions on Ryback, before the CM Punk shoot people were all for him being pushed again, people can react however they like depending on who they believe.
Big Show isn't well received even as a heel, still, I wouldn't chant for a 20+ year vet to retire, it's really ignorant and disrespectful, IMO, he still does his job well as the only giant left on the roster.

First of all if you want the NXT results there are there for you, but some of us like to know more about the show that went down and how people reacted to it.
Secondaly of course people hated the Big Show vs Batista match. There were there to see Zayn, Owens, Neville, Balor, Itami, Breeze etc, not the bloody Big Show. If I wanted bowl of cereal and found that someone had replaced my Frosties with a banana I'd be annoyed too. Yeah there's nothing wrong with the banana (although in this case it is stale beyond belief) but it's not what I wanted.
If you put a Hogan vs Warrior match in front of an ECW crowd. you'd get the same reaction.
I almost think this was Vince just doing it to piss off the NXT fans. They booked Big Show vs Batista for that infamous ECW show and now with Batty out Ryback is probally the most similar wrestler they have.
Regardless of the reasons it is further proof that the Local Men ruin EVERYTHING.

I think the only matches filmed for airing are Sasha/Bliss, Blurphy/EnzoCass and Owens/Riley. With Cesaro/Neville being listed as a "DVD match" whatever that means. I'd love to see Cena in front of an NXT crowd in an actual match. Fingers crossed it happens one day.

But didn't they already do March 18th for the regular Full Sail tapings?
