Like it or not, they brought in puppets and they talked to wrestlers like they were real entities.

Like it or not, they brought in puppets and they talked to wrestlers like they were real entities. They were used better, but it was still ridiculous. Wrestlers aren't real entities. They were all just fictional characters appearing in skits, just some of them were puppets. Beloved puppets that many, many people have seen treated as human since they were one year old. And it doesn't matter, anyway: if Chuckie had shown up and done a comedy bit, no one would have really cared. The stupid thing was that we were seemingly supposed to get emotionally involved in the conflict he was having with Rick Steiner and... hope they would fight? It was confusing. |

Damien Sandow berating Scooby Doo in the middle of an otherwise pointless mid card match with Sin Cara was more sensical than Rick Steiner challenging Chucky to a fight. It's all in the context. |

You know what's the best thing about the Scooby Doo segment? It followed a Haitch promo where he talked about the start of the "Reality Era".

I just want to weigh in to agree that the Muppets Raw was incredible.
Also, at least WWE's never had a fictional character have to bail out one of their top faces. They've done some stupid shit with crossovers but they haven't hit full Robocop.
