Did anyone else enjoy that as much as I did? Savio, in kayfabe to me, was defending his departed friends honor, in Razor Ramon. Goldust had gotten away from Warrior but I thought they were going to have Goldust drop the strap to Savio.
When Savio cheated and hit Goldust with the title and got the 1-2-3 I marked out. When the title was held up, I thought they were just waiting to make him the champion 1 week later.
Then we have Goldust win, only to run from Undertaker, and then drop it to Ahmed. I wanted a singles Savio run with him dropping it to Simmons, Vader or Owen.
Anyone else enjoy the tease on Raw?

This was one of the first Raws I ever saw and it was the first "marking out" I ever did. I HATED Goldust at that time. I embarrassingly now admit that I hated Goldust because he was "gay" and wanted to see him get destroyed. I know that made me not unlike most 12 year old boys watching at the time, but isn't something I'm proud of now.

I have a tape of myself singing my outrage about Demolition screwing Strike Force out of the tag titles at Wrestlemania IV. I was 7. It's okay to be retarded when you're a young wrestling fan. That's why it's so fun!

That's okay I felt the same years ago(well until 97, he grew on me and I cheered him maybe because he was either entertaining, or it was Marlena, hard to tell), we were all naive back then we grew up and learned more like how play is NOT an adjective.

It would have been interesting to see what he could have done with the belt.
Personally, I'd have rather he, not Mero, won the IC belt after SummerSlam 1996 (Ahmed was a hotter property and, pre-injury, was deserving of the title)

I was about 10 at the time and enjoyed it. Best IC title change ever will always be Michaels over Bulldog though.
