How did you find him as a commentator?
Looking back on some shows I thought he was quick witted and did his job well. I think he would be a lot better than some of the guys on NXT right now.

He had wonderful chemistry with Striker and lifted him up during the ECW and later Smackdown days. Underrated.

The voice of Sunday mornings. I have fond memories of Todd and Coach hosting Heat for years on Sky One (I also liked how Coach was Vince's assistant and interim GM on Raw, yet still announced Heat, gave the announcing a unique viewpoint with a person of authority on the mic). I thought Todd was fine as an announcer.
I do remember his "It's time for our MAIIIIIIIN EVENT" catchphrase!!

I never had a problem with him, there were better commentators around but he was decent.

I loved him as the presenter of Afterburn and programmes like that. He brought more humour to it rather than Josh Matthews just reading his lines fairly straight. Made it a lot more watchable.

Matthews seemed like a guy with a huge chip on his shoulder and he's been proving it since his release. I was glad when Renee came in and he was gradually phased out.

Was Todd the one who kept slagging off TNA in hilarious ways? Yeah Todd was great. I'd have him behind Renee, Coach and Kevin Kelly as interviewers but way above Marc Lloyd, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews. As a commentator I'd take him over all the ones on Raw and Smackdown these days.

I liked him, he was solid all around. He and JR were a good duo on SmackDown in 09 with Todd handling PBP and JR doing color.

He was perfectly fine. And his chemistry with Matt Striker on ECW was great.
So, of course. It was never meant to last. Happy for him where he is.

If he ever comes back I can't wait to be the first one to make a thread titled...

His time with Striker was gold, their random interactions on Twitter still make me giggle.

Quick witted, but pretty low energy. He needs a hyper color guy like Striker, than he's perfect.

His commentary was generally pretty good, but he didn't have a very strong voice or identity. His ECW work with Striker was very good, as their styles complimented each other well. I didn't like him as a backstage interviewer.
He was one of those people who seemed like they'd been in WWE for much less time than they actually had. I always thought of him as fairly new, even when he'd been around 5 years.

I thought he was awful. His faux excitement was cringeworthy.

The chemistry between him and Striker made watching ECW that much better to watch...they could make a DJ Gabriel or Paul Burchill match tolerable and watchable.
