I'm actually hoping Ryback wins, as I can see him doing great things with a starting push at Mania. Mizdow, while entertaining, I see as just another Alex Riley. He's great when he's got someone to play off of, but stick him out on his own and he gets exposed and flops hard. Umm, Sandow was doing great on his own until they stripped away everything that was great about him for no real reason. No idea how that counts as flopping. The guy can adapt to anything, he just needs to actually be given something to work with. He wasn't doing nearly as good as when he was when he was with guys like Cody or Miz. The solo intellectual savior wasn't getting over with the crowd, and he was never going to get past the role of comedy jobber when he was playing that parody gimmick. I guess I won't say it's impossible for him to find a new gimmick after and doing well after his thing with Miz. I just don't see it.

Before mania the authority announces the winner of the battle royal gets a title shot to boost local men who are the favorites.
Local men argue amongst themselves allowing the returning Sheamus to get the win.
The authority appears to be furious until Sheamus turns heel the next night on raw and become Reigns first title feud (I'm thinking Rollins cashes in at mania but loses causing the authority to kick him out and he'll be a face post mania).

Would you settle for him tossing Miz and Miz Refridgerator Perrying him? No why would I? I'm not saying you should... I'm just saying that that might be the best you get unfortunately.

The point is, you're misusing the word "Flop," and in a discussion like this it's detrimental to the conversation itself. People were wildly cheering Reily for several months after the Miz feud ended because he (at that point pre-commentary at least) was incredibly likable. That crowd interest is the hardest thing to teach. But getting the chance to cheer for someone with a group of likeminded fans is why just about any form of live entertainment sells tickets, and in the spring/summer/fall of 2011, A-Ry was a big part of that. That's how he contributed to the show with regular consistent fun moments, which contributes to selling tickets. Green or not, his outings in front of a camera were a success. By definition, that's not a flop. In addition with Riley- and I know either way it happens, CATCH_US will be pissed, so it's there no matter what: The fact that A-Ry was becoming a great babyface, even if he was a little green at the time, was pretty apparent when he had gotten away from The Miz. It's likely with more gestation- some regular time in the ring, a push in the midcard around the title picture, Riley would have been a great babyface. The only problem with the picture to "claim" Riley flopped is similar to why Mason Ryan bombed as a babyface. It wasn't "their own" failings- but that he had this great midcard babyface push in 2011...and in 2011, the WWE Universe rose up, to a person, and decided "We won't accept ANYONE fighting for the midcard titles who is not Zack Ryder. It's Ryder or nothing"- which, in the process, hindered any midcard babyface on the rise who was not Zack Ryder. Any and every up and coming midcard babyface who was not Zack Ryder had the bigger weakness of the fans just not buying what they were selling- and in the end, the fans got a serious "Reality Era" problem that hasn't been noticed as a whole. The whole issue also ended up turning WWE fandom into a zero-sum game, where fans won't truly get behind one wrestler- even if they LIKE the wrestler- because they inherently know that if they get behind THIS guy, then they run the risk of getting that guy in a big push instead of the guy who they REALLY want. All I want for this match is for Axel to keep it up with the Hogan schtick. I want him to get eliminated close to the end, and then pull someone else out from outside, out of spite, like Hogan did in '92. Personally, just to keep Axel's schtick going even more, I'd view the best possible endgame for every wrestler involved tie into the Mizdow ATGBR moment where Mizdow's not in the match yet- when Curtis Axel comes in, Miz forces Mizdow to attack Axel and keeps him out of the battle royal match to take his spot- and then, once he's in, that leads to Mizdow turning on Miz. That way, everything is wrapped up nicely: Mizdow wins the ATGBR and turns on Miz, but just as importantly, Curtis Axel ALSO gets ahead from it because now he has a second big battle royal that Axel can say he was never eliminated from and is still in it. (If, when the Andre trophy is broken by The Miz because of course it would be, Curtis Axel then grabs some pieces of the trophy and carries it around as the "real" winner, even better.)

Because if this company is too stupid to do this simple thing with the longest running storyline they have then what's the point. This is my if Daniel Bryan doesn't win at 30 moment. And just like those same Bryan fans, I guarantee you'll be back watching Raw on Monday.
