I recently rewatched whatever Mania this took place at (24 I think?) and the Mayweather/Show match really lived up to my memories of it being great.
Obviously it wasn't a technical classic, but the feud and the match I think are about as good as a celebrity feud are going to get. Mayweather really put himself on the line here, by being involved with wrestling at all, but also physically - he let Big Show throw him around quite a lot here. He was also sharp enough to turn heel midway through the angle when it was clear the fans were against him and pro Big Show.
The match was obviously a garbage match with a bunch of indie guys in to take a lot of the bumps, but Mayweather still took some nasty stuff (Big Show stomping his hand and treading on him, some chops I think?) and Show didn't look weak losing to a guy with brass knucks, a chair and an entire entourage.
Basically, as celebrities go, this was the good shit. I much prefer this kind of thing to the 'celebrity in my corner' type matches.
Side note: At the risk of shattering my credibility, Snooki deserves a lot more credit than she gets for her participation also.

It's amazing that WWE had Kim Kardashian at WrestleMania XXIV and did virtually nothing with her.
Kim Kardashian, for all of her faults and all of the wildly irrational hate she and her family receive, is one of the biggest celebrities in the world in 2015. If the WWE was able to land her this year, she'd be a star attraction. But in 2008, she was hardly featured on screen.

Floyd was the only one I enjoyed, who I felt actually added to it. It's a shame they wasted him on Big Show

It was awesome. WWE could really use a Floyd-like heel in the main event scene.

Yes, they were a musical guest performing Lawrence Taylor's entrance, but they were performing a song that was recently #1 in the country AND they RE-WROTE THE LYRICS to chronicle the Bam Bam-LT feud and why they support LT.
It's a shame they aren't in any re-release or rebroadcast of Mania 11 since 1995 because it's a really cool performance and above-and-beyond on the celebrity's part for their involvement.

Floyd was the only one I enjoyed, who I felt actually added to it. It's a shame they wasted him on Big Show I don't know. It actually lead to many discussions among friends and strangers of who would win in a legit fight between the two. I haven't had a discussion of who would win in a legit fight from wrestling since I was a kid. But yes Floyd was great and it was obvious he worked hard to prepare for the match. Also I love it when celebs embrace being a heel. I double love it when the celeb switches over becoming a heel because he realizes he isn't getting any babyface pops and gets why.

Yeah, Floyd seemed completely aware of what he was doing and played up to it. I know it was done accidentally but the bit where the money flies out of his pocket was such a great touch. The guy was perfect for wrestling. I think part of my dislike of using Big Show is the fact that I can't stand the guy anyway but I also felt somebody could have got a big boost from it. I'm not sure who would have been better, though.

To be fair, this was 2008 era, relatively motivated, freshly returned Big Show, and having the two of them against each other really was good for the tale of the tapes when you started comparing heights and weights and reaches and such.

Weird thing with Floyd was they had him positioned as the face throughout, and then come the actual match they suddenly have him heel. Which he should've been all along, he's great at that. So it made little sense but was the best shout. The stuff with the goblet in particular was great.
And yeah, Snooki did fine for her role.

I consider Floyd a former WWE superstar at this point rather then a guest, he got so deep into that feud that he earned the title of worker in my book. I loved the WM24 match.

I don't think Floyd "turned heel", I just don't think he knows how to not be an asshole.
