There have only been a few Great Main Events (last match on the card) out of its 30 wrestlemania history it's usually on the undercard where the best match happens? why?

Because everyone's idea of 'great' is different?

Simple. Summerslam is the wrestling show. Mania is the spectacular. You get celebrities, fireworks, big loud noises, generally - you get moments, the days when guys are made into immortals, and there's not many guys (please don't list examples because I didn't say 'none') who have got their huge Mania moments or become 'the' guy by simply having a great match or workrate. Summerslam is where the good wrestling happens, really.

Summerslam is where the good wrestling happens, really. Am I going mad or is Summerslam also becoming the 'Empire Strikes Back' show? Between Lesnar/Cena, Bryan/Orton/HHH, Lesnar/HHH and Punk/Hardy, it seems like it's settled into the role of setting up heeldom for the Fall to come.

Summerslam seems to be the show the heel wins, while Mania is when the face comes out on top. Broadly speaking.

Because the best workers are usually positioned in the middle-to-upper middle of the card and not as a top act.
And the main event/world title tends to revolve around personality and sideshow shenanigans more often than not.

Because you can't have Undertaker main event every WM, that's why. (Shawn Michaels, maybe.)
Because the MITB car-crash is supposed to build speculation over whether the winner might cash in tonight.
Because Triple H is the last match, which is why it's methodical.
There are 3 reasons.
