All of the old guys in WCW phoned it in except probably Randy Savage. Look at how crappy almost all of the nWo beatdowns/group segments were. They didn't do anything in them. Second nomination goes to everyone in the 1994 Royal Rumble The NWO was really fun as it unfolded, but some of those shows can be really hard to watch again just due to the in-ring quality. I recently rewatched WCW Uncensored 1997 and that is still an amazing event, but that is the exception rather than the rule. I couldn't imagine watching all those Nitros again. Although they'd still be easier to get through than Raw is now

Paul London, unless he is facing someone he wants to. And if he doesn't phone it in he doesn't even show.

RVD toward the end of his TNA run unless he was paired with a friend. Curt Hennig in WCW was clearly there just to coast his way through as many pay days as possible. I dunno, he seemed like he was having a blast as part of the West Texas Rednecks, he just wasn't the performer he was in the ring thanks to injuries. Cannot agree with this enough. Only I'd say RVD was shit for really the entirety of his TNA run. Then WWE brought him back with that AWESOME hype video and made TNA look SO MUCH worse. Edit: Also just wanted to throw in my 2 cents about Curt Hennig in WCW as it was mentioned in the same post I quoted. I remember thinking Hennig vs. Mongo of all people was a fun match so Curt couldn't have been that bad lol. Also, as has been mentioned his injuries probably hampered him a bit. When it was happening I was just more glad than anything to see Mr. Perfect wrestling again. If you recall when he first came to WCW he hadn't been wrestling much for the WWF in the past few years. He was mostly used as a commentator or in some other non-wrestling role. He also had that whole Lloyds of London fiasco around the same time.

Wasn't long before I was irritated because of how poorly he was used, but even Curt Hennig putting out 75% effort was still Curt Hennig. The West Texas Rednecks thing does not get enough credit, because it was just cool for him to be able to step outside the iconic Mr. Perfect character and get over with something completely different.

William Regal in 1998 during his "Real Man's Man" gimmick. He was clearly pilled up out of his mind and only there for the payday. Didn't help that the gimmick sucked balls.
