I did read some rumors that they were heavily muting the crowd last night, but it sounds like a portion of the crowd muted themselves. It's really sad how much they've managed to kill this guys' momentum. As much as people joke about WWE "making Roman look strong," they really haven't done that. Instead they've exposed his weaknesses and made really clunky and transparent attempts to make people cheer him. At this point, I'm wondering what you do with the guy after Mania. Maybe take him off TV and try to repackage him? I'm normally loath to suggest this kind of thing, but turn him heel and pair him with Heyman. It would solve his two biggest issues (crowd reactions and promo ability), and then you could turn him face again once he's been sufficiently rehabbed. I'm down with that. It'd be a repeat of the Lesnar/Show feud from back in 2003, but it'd be the best way to salvage Reigns.

I just can't believe how little they're helping him wih this booking. It's like they're TRYING to kill him. Brock is in the building and they do NOTHING with him and Reigns. Reign is just an afterthought in a segment for a midcard feud. The way he shuffled off right after the match was just strange. Not even a staredown with Orton or anything.

Joke's on all you when Kane beats him, strips him naked and burns his clothes in a garbage can to absorb his sexy Samoan powers.
Roman Kanes is coming.

WWE app gave the option last month of why fans don't like him and the winner was "we are all jealous".
A LOT of jealous people at RAW last night then.

I'm watching it now. I literally burst out laughing when Roman did the three clotheslines in the corner and paused before the last one for the big pop. Way to read the crowd buddy!

I'm down with that. It'd be a repeat of the Lesnar/Show feud from back in 2003, but it'd be the best way to salvage Reigns. It wouldn't even need to be like the Lesnar/Show feud, which to the best of my recollection was predicated on a double-turn during the match itself. *warning, mild fantasy booking* Reigns beats Lesnar clean. Lesnar leaves the ring after showing a grudging respect to Reigns. Daniel Bryan comes out to celebrate with Reigns, happy that Reigns lived up to his promise of kicking Brock's ass. They celebrate for a bit until Reigns suddenly spears Bryan. Reigns then offers his hand to Heyman, who accepts it, the look on his face changing from shock to evil glee. The storyline reason for Reigns becoming a Heyman guy? Reigns is tired of the fans' and the company's disrespect, and needs an advocate who won't be beholden to either the WWE Universe or any corporate overlords. And Heyman, despite his prior animosity with Reigns, recognizes talent, and is more than willing to serve as an advocate for the man who did the impossible and slayed The Beast. It's not the greatest storytelling in the world, but it accomplishes several things. Reigns becomes top heel and finally gets a solid, unanimous reaction, even if its all boos. Paul Heyman, the best goddamn promo guy in the company, gets to stay on TV. And Reigns has a post-Mania feud ready to go with Bryan, which is good for both men - it puts Bryan in the main event scene where he belongs, and gives Reigns an opponent who we know he has damn good chemistry with.

Heyman put Reigns over huge a couple weeks on Raw. If Lesnar is gone, then Reigns being Heyman's "next big thing" would work in kayfabe.

Even if you hate the guy, you've gotta see they're doing him no favors with the way they're booking him. Dude was an utter afterthought, and that's supposed to be your guy. Oh, yeah. I was shocked at how little he meant to the entire show, hell how much he means to his own Mania match. It's all about Lesnar, Heyman, and Rollins.

I'm not sure why, as a fan, I'm expected to cheer for him. He has a cool look which would have been a huge drawing factor in the late 90s when brooding antihero badasses were a huge "thing", but it's 2015 and the fact is he just isn't anything special beyond that.
What is his character? What does he stand for? What is his personality? How was he the "leader of the Shield," since Cole started hammering that point home later in their run? Is he capable of any facial expressions aside from the Akira Toriyama smirk (tm)?
If the guy had a bald spot he'd be a midcarder at best. Beyond his "look" I still don't see what's supposed to be so indicative of his current ability or "great potential."
