He beat Adam Rose and cost Stardust a match with Swagger.
Then he disappeared.

I think unfortunately for him the crowd never got into the Cody feud. I think his best hope is to get into the ic match. Likely he will be in the battle royal.

Stardust not having a shirt, the match taking ages to actually get out of first gear, and then the botched finish kinda killed whatever they had going. Plus, the best segments with Cody have been on everything BUT Raw, so it's hard to really get people into it.
I'm hoping he winds up in the IC title match at WM. He can win the damn thing for all I care - it's the IC title, the winner is just going to lose to everyone that they want to get over anyway. It'd be cool to get a Goldust v Bryan match, among all the other possibilities that would come with feuding with the individuals in the match.

How the hell did they screw this feud up? Cody inevitably turning on Goldust and turning it into a WrestleMania match seemed like a sure thing. Have Cody go nuts in the Stardust persona and have it be a war of the mind games with a return to the old school Goldust antics. Then they rush it by cramming the match onto Fast Lane with zero build, both guys have an off-night, and the whole thing is subsequently forgotten about. I've been watching this company for a quarter century now, so I shouldn't be that surprised. Just...damn.

He's been wanting a WrestleMania match with his brother for years now, and I thought for sure this year we'd all get it, and he'll retire. But then Fastlane happened, and sadly, that match killed the feud dead. They're probably afraid of even putting this match on the pre-show cause the match could kill the crowd.

I figured Stardust/Bryan would have a match for the last spot and Goldy would cost Stardust.which would officially put DB in and set Gold/Star up for round 2 at Mania.
But i'm not on creative so what soI know?

The booking of this feud is the very absolute best example of the state of the WWE, in my opinion. They knew what the plan was and they set it up... and then self-fulfilling-prophecied themselves right into apathy. I mean, if the plan is for one tag team partner to eventually turn on the other, WHY DO YOU MAKE THEM HEELS? Why do you make the catalyst to the turn them just losing clean a lot and looking like schmucks?
