He's scheduled to fight Kimbo Slice for Bellator.
He took some nasty unprotected chairshots to the head in WWE.
He guest-refereed Austin and Bret's match at Mania 13.

Looks like it's going down on June 20 at Bellator 138. I haven't been paying much attention to Bellator lately, but I might have to check that out. Should be a fun freak fight.

He could've done wonders if he had someone like Sunny as his manager. Him talking was never a good bet.
He left in the fall of '99 right? I wonder if he could've reached the main event after Austin left with the neck injury

I never did figure out how to get into that zone he was always on about.
I guess it must be like the minus world in Super Mario Bros., where you have to jump at just the right angle.

Did he ever turn face again? And I thought the heel turn was just poorly done. I wasn't against it, just the execution was weak Turned face during the Higher Power angle, helped Vince look for Stephanie, got kicked out of the Corporation, formed the Union.

Shamrock was the personification of a wrestler to me as a child: a silent guy who kicked everyone's ass and made them submit. I loved Shamrock growing up and was very upset when he lost the cage match to The Rock and Mankind.
He was marketable, intense, fun to watch. He never really got the true hang of how to put a main event wrestling match together and that cost him the chance to be a huge star, because he had everything else needed. I was never bored by his matches but they didn't belong as a main event and that was his issue.

As has been stated, he's scheduled to drop out of a fight with Kimbo Slice any day now.
I liked his WWF run just fine. When they announced the Brawl4All, I was sure they were just setting up a Ken Vs Dan Severn finale...
MMA wise, one thing he does not get the proper credit for is basically saving the UFC during their lean times. His fights with Tito Ortiz and Kimo kept the company afloat in the dark days before TUF and Brock Lesnar. He's also a steroid cheat and notorious for sticking up promoters.

Shamrock had an awesome look. He looked like he could kill you if he felt like it. He had a pretty solid run; IC title, Tag titles, KOTR back when it meant something. Had he shown up 2 years earlier or 2 year later, a good chance he could have been world champion To this day, when I hear his theme, I want to go bench press a truck He had one of those themes where you just knew someone was going to get their ass kicked.

I thought they hurt his character with saying things like "He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he is certainly the most dangerous." I remember one segment where he accidently told the Undertaker where he was hiding his sister. How can you take a wrestler seriously when they make him look like he is dumber than a pile of dirt.
Shamrock(in the ring): I am the toughest wrestler ever. Jobber(On the ramp by wrestler entrance): Oh no your not. Shamrock: Yes I am! Jobber: Then why don't you come up here and fight me. Shamrock: Okay but what is that cage hanging from the ceiling right in front of you. Jobber: Oh that's nothing. There is a grizzly bear wondering around the arena and they are trying to trap him. Shamrock: Oh okay. (Shamrock proceeds up the ramp only to have a cage drop on him). Jobber: And thats that.

I thought they hurt his character with saying things like "He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he is certainly the most dangerous." I was just coming here to post how I thought this was a GOOD thing for character purposes. The man is a killing machine, takes insane punishment, doesn't seem like he's able to be stopped, BUT ... [whispers] we'll acknowledge that he's kind of stupid. It gave him a unique weakness and opened the door to better storytelling, IMO. The Rock was able to dupe him several times by taking advantage of him "not being the sharpest knife." Austin, Owen and others had similar success. And being a dumbass made him even more fun to hate as heel. Easily fooled meathead who can't control his temper? Who doesn't love watching that guy lose?

Shamrock is a weird one for me. Disappeared so quickly that he kind of made his run worthless, but didn't have the quality standards of a Lesnar to make his run really significant. He was mega over, but bad on the mic, not that great of a wrestler and hasn't got many memorable angles that defined his character.

Shamrock simply got left behind by The Rock and Mick Foley in the summer of 1998 and he couldn't keep up. There is a triple threat cage match between the three that kind of encapsulates when Shamrock dropped a few pegs. Also, Triple H ended up surpassing Shamrock as well, though I don't think Triple H quite broke-out in 1998 like The Rock and Mick Foley did. Ken Shamrock ended up getting in the Corporation and never felt like he was quite on the main event level any more.

I love him during his WWE run as I always marked when JR mentioned that he snapped.
That and I would of much rather seen him make a returnto the WWE than his post 2000 UFC return/MMA run because other than his fight with Don Frye in Pride, he pretty much destroyed all his fighting cred with those Tito fights and losing to cans.
Though the guy still wants to fight Tito for a fourth time which makes you wonder if all those unprotected chair shots he took have effected his brain.
