I was just watching No Way Out 2008 and i just noticed that aside from Cena and Orton, NONE of the other wrestlers on the card are full-time WWE wrestlers (in fact, many of them have since left the company).

Well, that is a 7 year turn around, in fact, if you want, you could say the same about most 7 year gaps in the wwf. Ie 1992 to 1999.

Off the top of my head we have: The Undertaker Sgt Slaughter Owen Hart Davey Boy Smith The Big Bossman Papa Shango/Godfather Earthquake/Golga Brooklyn Brawler (if we can count him...) Pretty sure Mabel was very early 93/late 92 (I forget when the MoM vignettes started) and Viscera was around in 99... Nonetheless, you still have a pretty good point about 7 years being a long time.

In that same time I went from a freshman in college to being pretty sad generally.

But then are we counting continuous runs or is this just about retiring or going part time? Because Davey, Earthquake and Bossman all left in that time, as did Mabel I believe.

Ironically, that's the PPV Big Show made his return after 18 months away, and would eventually begin to be one half of Two Local Men. Who Ruin Everything.

Eh there were only 4 ppvs in 92 so I chose Summerslam as that's not as big as Mania, Survivor Series or Rumble whoo pack in more talent usually then a PPV like No Way Out. Taker is the only constant, between those two summerslams. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SummerSlam_(1992)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SummerSlam_(1999)

Yeah, it's ashame that Big Show was consistently awesome from his return in '08 til the end of JeriShow in 2010 or whatever it was. Would've been nice, and I say this as a fan of his, to see him retire around then. Although I really enjoyed the Mark/Big Show/Bryan triangle feud in late 2011.
