The idea for a new Nation gets brought up a lot (well at least it did until The New Day form), but I never see folks talk about The Nation of Domination brought up.
Also, a fun little tidbit likewise I never hear mentioned. The Nation officially ended because Mark Henry was fat. Well, not entirely, but sort of. IIRC right before the very final Nation incarnation broke up, D'lo was trying to get Mark Henry to lose weight (in kayfabe), Henry then turned on D'lo and aligned with Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett awarded Henry the European title for this (since Jarrett beat D'lo for it by Henry interring) giving some motive for Henry turning. However, it is funner to think that Henry just got fed u with Brown's shit and said, "f*** it I'm tired of this guy trying to get me to lose weight!"

Rocky saying "This isn't about the color of my skin, it's about respect!" was the beginning of a very special career and not a single person in that audience that night could have predicted it...funny how life works sometimes.

Yeah but "The Nation" name was long dead by the time Henry turned in the summer of '99.

I hope this doesn't start a trend of "insert name here, let's talk about him" threads.

The stable that the IWC seems to want re-incarnated the most

The Nation were actually a pretty good stable I thought but this thread has brought up a thought to me - it doesn't really matter, I think, to use race, gender or sexuality in an angle to get heel heat. The issue is that if it's based around that, you kinda need somebody from the other end to win.
The racist angle against Booker T in 2003 would've been fine, if he hadn't lost, clean as a sheet, thusly proving the racist heel right. But I think the NOD needed someone who was black, but not a complete asshole/militant to beat them. Likewise I think Muhammad Hassan would've needed another Arab to beat him to show that Arabs aren't all assholes. Otherwise you're basically saying 'boo the minority!'

I kind of prefer the original Nation. The membership was just so freaking random and I loved how they had the two white boy rappers who's whole purpose seemed to be to jump in the ring and get instantly trashed.

It was a great faction when it was Farooq, Rock, D-Lo, Kama and Mizark

I do remember Farooq yelling at SCSA about 'all the tattoos on his arms'

Kamalarambo, I don't believe they were any sort of faction during summer 99, it was more of a D'Lo/Henry friendship storyline
they kind of officially disbanded in the fall of 98 when Rock turned face (apparently) and D'Lo and Mark started teaming up. Godfather went solo more or less, had a supershort stint as a team with Val Venis, later on (fall 99 I believe) started teaming up with D'Lo too

The membership was just so freaking random and I loved how they had the two white boy rappers who's whole purpose seemed to be to jump in the ring and get instantly trashed. One of which was Memphis legend Bill Dundee's son, fact fans. They also had a woman and a scrawny middle-aged dude (not Clarence Mason) who never spoke or took any bumps and whose name and purpose were never explained. Wonder how much they were paid and what qualified them for the job? And D-Lo was one of about three nameless bodyguards to begin with.

The stable that the IWC seems to want re-incarnated the most Nah, just the stable the IWC loves poking fun at the most.
