So, if NXT becomes its own brand dedicated to a wrasslin' audience like people are saying, and continues to sign talent to suit those tastes, what will become of the main roster?
Will people still be called up? You'd presume so.
Taking that as a given, is it then inevitable that the main roster starts to look more like NXT over time cos developmental isn't producing many guys with the classic 'WWE look' anymore? Will they just call up the Baron Corbins and Jason Jordans and leave the Sami Zayns and Finn Balors in NXT?
Is Vince trying to scare the hardcore fans away from the main roster product by giving them a wrestling show for them to watch so he can run his sports-entertainment extravaganza in peace?
Are there enough casual fans who like this tired old shit for that to work? Surely running two different products with two different philosophies is unsustainable when one primarily exists to feed the other?
Unless Vince is planning to keep his current roster employed until they're in their 50s, you have to say that an NXT/indy-flavoured main roster product is inevitable in due time, yet Vince seems less switched on to that idea than ever. Strange times indeed.

These are strange times as I can't imagine that guys like Zayn, Neville, Balor, Hideo, and Owens signed up to not make it to the main roster.
I'll just assume that like most everything else WWE related they're either going to do a Vince vs HHH angle with the NXT guys or they have no clue what they're doing...maybe both.

Didn't Finn only sign with WWE under the guarantee that he would not be in NXT for long?
Would have to assume that guarantee goes for the likes of Hideo and Owens as well.

I will not be surprised if they go overboard with NXT where it becomes a televised brand (like, replaces Smackdown) where it becomes micromanaged and sapped away of all its fun. It's growing so quickly it just seems inevitable that someone (Vince) is gonna ruin it.
