Barrett 'should' be way above that level, but he honestly isnt. He has been booked just like Adam Rose, Fandango and worse than R Truth. I honestly can not remember the last time he won a match I mean it in the sense that Barrett interacts with "top" talents a lot more often and is part of that weird post-brand split "inner circle" that WWE makes sure is on RAW/SD regularly. Rose, Fandango and R-Truth (you know he's gonna disappear after WM), are hardly ever on the main shows and are usually on Superstars more often than not. Does he though really? Wade is damaged goods at the moment to be honest and has been overtaken by several wrestlers recently. The Miz has found his niche as a midcard heel, no need to overpush him at the moment. The main event scene, IC & US, Tag scene should be something like: Brock Lesnar Daniel Bryan John Cena Seth Rollins Randy Orton Bray Wyatt Dolph Ziggler ----- Rusev Roman Reigns Dean Ambrose Ryback Sheamus Cesaro Cody Rhodes Luke Harper Goldust Mark Henry ----- Wade Barrett The Miz Damien Sandow Jack Swagger Tyson Kidd Big E Langston R-Truth Fandango Kofi Kingston Bo Dallas Curtis Axel Eric Rowan Zach Ryder Adam Rose Xavier Woods ----- Swinging Cats The Usos The Ascension The New Day Primetime Players Los Matadors No idea where to put the Local Men. They shouldn't be on TV really.

No. It's unfeasible. Keeping secondary and top champions separate was a fine model when TV was relatively sporadic and there was a proliferation of enhancement matches. Guys need to look strong and there are only so many way to accomplish that with the current depth of the roster. To restore the IC and US titles to glories of yore would require a complete restructuring of how they operate. More to the fact, it means the tedious process of having to re-adjust audience expectations to enhancement bouts.
My estimate is that if Lesnar is sticking around and is keeping the WWE title, we'll see a reemphasis upon the secondary belts, but if the WWE title comes into regular rotation again, I wager that the IC/US champions will reassume their place as midcard fodder.
