That was pretty good. He's really been putting in a lot of work since Fastlane.

Yes it was. I was worried the Daniel Bryan chants were gonna' trip him up but he handled them well, pointing them out briefly in a way that tied into the narrative, and in general it was the most confident he'd seemed in quite some time.

I thought it was pretty good too. If he'd been doing that three months ago instead of "LOL Looney Tunes" and "LOL fairytales", there'd be a lot less hatred towards him.

Nah, it was an average promo but because his promos are usually terrible, it stood out more.

I thought it was alright. I don't know if he is gaining confidence or if Vince is finally getting what made Roman work but he slowly getting back to the form he had before his injury.

I don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be. Regarding today's promo, wasn't fantastic or anything, but nothing bad to say about it. Just a regular promo that almost everyone else on the roster could have done no better or no worse with.

Just watched the promo in question. It was solid. If we're grading on a curve then it was definitely his best live promo.
That said the crowd still didn't really seem to care that much about the guy. It's good that they're trying to fix the mistakes they made by pushing him into this spot despite the fact that he's not ready, but I just don't sense it's going to go well at Mania all the same.
He just doesn't feel to me like a main eventer, let alone the guy who should be the top babyface of the promotion, and that promo, while decent, didn't really do anything to change my mind. Maybe in a year that might be different, but right now I'm not feeling it.

There were some definite cheers for him when he entered, though I think I heard some boos after the initial cheer. That said, it was a good promo. Not fantastic but consider this, his promo came a minute after Heyman and everyone has been loving his promos lately. So to come out after a Heyman promo and still be considered good? That's pretty good. He's certainly heading in the right direction whether he's ready or not.

a decent portion of the promo was under 4 syllables. the rest was broken up into pauses that contained about 4 syllable sentences. keep it short and sweet with Roman until he's comfortable on the mic.

This is not a conversation we should be having about the man who is about to become the World Champion of the biggest wrestling company in the world.
"Well, that wasn't entirely terrible. He's getting better. In fact, he's almost decent now."

I would agree if it didn't include the line "And I will become the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!"
People saying the chants didn't trip him up, don't know what you saw, he clearly stuttered and then uttered that mess soon after before collecting himself. It wasn't a BAD promo, but the dude is simply outclassed by Heyman in this feud entirely.

It wasn't bad, possibly his best, but I really hate this whole 'I can. I will' thing he's doing. It's lame as hell and something you'd read in a teenagers diary after their mother told them off. It's not cool. And that shirt won't sell.
It would have worked for Hogan back in his era. Times have changed, though, and that stuff will not work on a 2015 muscle-bound face.

Batista was pretty terrible at cutting promos when he won the title in 05.

But he's supposed to be the big bad anointed chosen one babyface of the next decade apparently and we have to hope his promo skills are just barely decent before his crowing in 2 weeks. What kind of f***ed up bullshit is that?

He's getting better. In fact, he's almost decent now." Normally I'd say "eh, a guy doesn't have to be a great promo to main event", but given the money Vince burned to put Reigns in this spot and all the insane stuff they've done attempting to get him over, criticizing him over promos becomes much more justifiable.
