Kurt should take a deep look at the tragedy of Perro Aguayo Jr. What happened last night could easily be him soon I'm afraid. To be fair that could be any wrestler. If you mean dying in the ring from existing injuries he has I'm not so sure. Kurt works like three days every 2 months and gets to recuperate in his time off at his home with his doctors and his medical facilities. With that in mind if he keeps up his stiff wrestling style and his "all out" style I could see him having a serious injury and forcing to retire which is why I made mention that he probably should be looking to slow down in a tag team and TNA should be encouraging that. Throw Angle in a tag team and you can maybe get 4-5 years out of him instead of 1-2.

Much better than watching broken down Kurt Angle dragging his body through a 20-minute match with a much superior athlete: Bobby Lashley. Can you imagine Kurt vs Brock now? Lesnar might kill him with the first German. "Might"?!

Angle's current matches are basically parodies of Angle matches. He forgot about ring psychology and match structure & trying to do Clone Wars era ROH style.

Angle being TNA Champ, and winning over Lashey by tap out no less, sums up in a nutshell everything wrong with this company.

I never thought I'd see Kurt Angle having to be almost 100% carried through a match.

It was painful to watch, he looked stiff (and not in the heavy hitting way) and as others have said, a parody of Kurt Angle. His head and neck are so swollen that he looks deformed and every time he bumps it makes me cringe. I think the biggest signal that he's done or at least should be done was when he pulled himself up onto the top rope at one point and grimaced in agony as he did so. No wrestler should be getting into the ring if they're in that much pain.

Hasn't the world been saying Kurt Angle is gonna have his head pop clean off in the ring "any day now..." for about 7 years?
Something tells me he doesn't have one foot in the grave yet, you guys.

Before his return he had spent about a year on the sidelines because of TNA's (and his own) carelessness which allowed him to get back into the ring quicker when he hadn't fully recovered. He's definitely not in good shape medically. The fact he is struggling to wrestle and has had multiple serious injuries is evidence of that.

He's also one of my all time favorites; I've cringed at him in the ring since at least 2010.

What is, "Within 100 yards of Rhaka Khan?" Alex?
"That is correct."

I've kind of always been an advocate of the idea Angle's never had a very good idea of match structure left to his own devices and has always needed someone better versed in it to carry him to have a classic but he's always delivered on a physical level. I don't find it hard to believe that's no longer the case.

Apparently, Angle really kept wanting to do all sorts of flippy shit, stuff like 450 Splashes and such. He could do them really well, because he's f***ing Kurt Angle, but eventually they had to tell him that he's supposed to be an Olympic Gold Medalist in Wrestling, and that he should stick to suplexes and submissions, because that's what makes sense for his character. Sure enough, once he's away from having WWE's structure, he's now the guy that Moonsaults off of cages every six months and doing really awkward flips all the time. Hell, I think he even did the 450 once, and nobody really remembers it.

Yeah, it turned into a frontflip knee drop that both are lucky didn't do any serious damage. I've never been a big fan of Angle due to his apparent lack of understanding anything about in-ring psychology, but I haven't been watching TNA in the past 2 years so I can't really critique what he's done lately.

I wouldn't say he "can't go anymore", he can still go, just unfortunately not at the level he thinks he can, & hasn't been able to for the last 2, 3 or so years. If he's in there with someone with the caliber of a Lashley, Roode or Aries, guys who it's hard to have bad matches with, then he can have good-great matches, but with less talented individuals, the matches can become repetitive & pretty bad(especially with the mediocre-bad wrestlers).

Yeah, it's not great, but let's not forget that Bobby Bathurd kinda stinks.
Kurt needs to be met halfway anymore. He can't zip from technique to technique like the Olympian that still had hair and a human neck.
Part of you has to love him for that never say die, until the wheels fall off gusto, but the larger half is going " Kurt, please say die. Save a wheel or two. You've done enough for us."
