Anything that gets the Great One at Mania is fine by me.

Biggest money match they could make. Makes sense for Mania in a huge stadium and the attendance they're shooting for It's sad that WWE's big money matches always include at least one superstar that doesn't wrestle full-time.

I like Brock. I like Brock a lot.
The Rock has never been my favorite, but I enjoy him.
I have ZERO interest in this match. Unless it's Brock murderizing Rock I don't care. In fact I really don't care otherwise. The winner of this match could be either one. I'd prefer Brock but meh. I don't see what's so great about it, it's the match from like over a decade ago...again. So it's selling point is they haven't wrestled each other in a long time?? Yes they're bigger names now, but so...?
The feud would consist of Rock making up stupid names to call Brock to trend on Twitter and Heyman cutting amazing promos in retort. There's not an "I need to see this match" feeling for me.
I would rather see them face different people separately.

Rock and his inner circle were pissed that he got that injury facing Cena the second time around. That was against John Cena. A rather safe worker. Brock has f***ed people up. No way Hollywood is facing him, and if he does, expect it to suck. Who has Brock hurt during this run? Outside of the accident with old ass Taker early in the match(A guy who probably hurts himself getting up in the morning now), I've not seen any instances of him hurting anyone.

That's what happens when you consistently treat your active roster as geeks and losers who are only there by the charity of the McMahon family.

Point taken but, in fairness, it really wasn't as serious as it looks since Cena was back the next night.

Ugh. Please no. Unless Rock wants to commit to a near full time schedule to actually get in ring shape then the match will be awful. Punk barely pulled a passable match out of him twice. Rock was blown up 5 minutes in, and don't get me started on the abortion of matches against Cena

Pass as it while I'm a fan of both it seems really stupid to have WM being headlined by two part timers.

If Taker does have his final match next year, does this main event over it?

I know it's never happening but I still think one more Austin match is the biggest match they could book Maybe? Brock Vs. Rock is a guy who's viewed as a legit asskicker monster with credibility Vs. A world famous blockbuster movie star. Austin coming back would be huge but I don't think it would be as huge. In Texas, and in the context of pro wrestling, Austin is double the draw that Lesnar or Rock is IMO. Lesnar has not been a big numbers mover since they jobbed him to Cena on his first night. He's no longer a BIG special attraction. He's at about HHH level in terms of drawing in casual fans. Rock is no longer as special since he has wrestled a half dozen times in the past few years. Austin has had no match since 2003, and there are millions of attitude era fans who would be interested in that nostalgia ride, one last time. There is literally nothing WWE could do that would get them as many buys (if they still had regular PPV model that is) than Austin having his "one more match" if he would ever agree to it.....

Figures the one Mania I stand an actually chance at going to would have Rock headline and beat one of my all time favorites. Man I hope he gets a role in Tooth Fairy 4 or whatever it is so this doesn't happen. I was going to say that it seemed a bit like a cash grab to do it next year and would only intrigue me at this point but, as a Rock fan, I now want this to happen to annoy you.

I would love to see that match , as long as there is no title involved and it's not in the main event

It makes complete sense that they want to do this match, given the size of stadium they have to fill at Mania next year. Austin would probably be a bigger deal, but who knows if he'll want to actually do one more match.

It feels like such a showdown would take place in a vacuum of inconsequence. Like, Brock holding the title obscures the fact he's a part-time player and even with that, there's a hint that he has some long-term stakes there, even if it's just an illusion. Having a title-less Brock/Rock face-off would accomplish what, exactly? It'll be like Brock/Goldberg in terms of "oh, well, neither of these are sticking around, so why bother investing?".

I think it would be a great, final match for both guys. I'd pay to see it.

Hopefully we can at least get an Aikman, Irvin and Smith vs. a reunited Shield or a Jerry Jones vs. Vince McMahon match to really bring in those $$$
