You all saw it! Curtis Axel was eliminated, and since he claimed he was still IN the Royal Rumble, it meant that the Royal Rumble hadn't officially ended yet. So thereby, Snoop Dogg is going to WrestleMania to face Brock Lesnar!

I'd buy WrestleMania if Snoop won by getting Lesnar high and then doing a quick roll-up.

Well actually, Ambrose tossed Axel out of the ring on the first Raw after the Rumble.
I like this idea better though.

That was an illegal elimination by someone who wasn't in the Rumble so it doesn't count. Reigns elminated himself on Raw a few weeks ago why does no one remember this?

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a well-established rule, considering the numerous exceptions to that rule, but it tends to be the case more often than not.

I honestly can't remember a time where that wasn't the case. If you go over the top rope, you are done.

I honestly can't remember a time where that wasn't the case. If you go over the top rope, you are done. The big one is in 1996, where Vader gets eliminated, and then goes back into the ring and tosses almost everyone in the ring over the top (including eventual winner Shawn Michaels), and they are allowed to stay in the match. Also, there is the infamous Randy Savage 1992 self-elimination, where they make up a rule to cover for that fact that Savage accidentally jumped over the top rope.
