I'm talking about the 6 man hell in a cell match of course. Angle vs Austin vs Rock vs Undertaker vs HHH vs Rikishi! First off, what an epic match. Stone Cold had just returned and I remember 14 year old me watching this and being so happy to see him back and better than ever (but not in a Bischoff way). I'm not totally familiar with WWE games since I have barely played one since WWF No Mercy. However does anyone think that this match is video game-esque? Like playing against your friends on one of the Smackdown! games? I say this because you don't normally see this. 6 of the biggest stars of all time in one match (well 5, but one of your friends had to choose to play as Rikishi for some reason). Furthermore the match is ridiculously brutal. In the video games you can whack each other with chairs and fall off the cell and all that, and that actually happens here. Everyone is bleeding. Just, it was so epic, and so unlike anything else, it has always reminded me of an unrealistic over the top video game match. Also, if the video game comparison isn't for you, what did you think of the match?

I agree. The match was a lot of fun to watch live, 5 guys who could believably walk out of the match as champ and Rikishi. If not like a video game it does seem like some kind of over the top fanfiction that couldn't responsibly be booked, but it was. Even that banner looks like some shitty e-fed graphic.
I remember thinking that being a wrestler and fighting in that car graveyard set at the stage area had to be the most fun a wrestler could have.

I know theres elimination chambers since then, but you don't often get 6 (well, 5) of THE top guys in the ring at once, fighting each other with weapons.

Would never have expected Rikishi to be the first one of the 6 to be inducted into the hall of fame!
Whoops forgot Austin doh.

Would never have expected Rikishi to be the first one of the 6 to be inducted into the hall of fame! Austin went in the Hall in 2009.

I mean it made sense at the time for Rikishi to be there, but it makes you wonder in hindsight what the match would have been looked at today if it was Kane instead of Rikishi

Might have been the most stacked match ever. However, it was Rikishi than ran over Austin and was then feuding with Rock, I think, so it made sense for him to be there. (Should have just been HHH who ran over Austin). But Rikishi did do well in the match and took that big fall off the cage so props to him.

Its the one match i play on wwe2k15 (and older titles) more than anything else still.
I was 15 when the match happened and i loved it. I dont care how staged it looked, Rikishi falling off the cell onto a convieniantly placed truck full of sawdust was awesome.
I wish they would have another one for old times sake.

As much as I hate to bag on Rikishi, he looks so out of place here.

Yes because there is always that goofball friend that chooses a midcarder when everybody is choosing main eventers.

Loved the match and wish WWE would do it again someday. Always bugged me that Rock was the only one who didn't go to the top of the cell. Was that because he was filming soon after that?

So, we have the Rattlesnake, the American Badass, the People's Champ, The American Gold Medalist, The Game, and...Rikishi. Who honestly thought turning Rikishi heel was a good idea?
I'm thinking of a scenario when six people got a PS2 and WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It in 2001. They're all like, "AW YEAH! Who wants to play that Armageddon Hell in a Cell match?!" The big brother, who I'll call Crazy Steve, gets Stone Cold. Four of his friends got dibs on Taker, Rock, HHH, and Angle. And Crazy Steve's little brother gets...Rikishi. Little brother's like, "I don't wanna be Rikishi! I wanna be da Undertakah!" Crazy Steve replies, "BITCH, you gon' be Rikishi, or you won't play with us! Got it?"

Yes because there is always that goofball friend that chooses a midcarder when everybody is choosing main eventers. Imagine if this is how WWE booked another Armageddon Hell in a Cell. "Tonight, it's going to be John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Konnor for the WWE title inside Hell in a Cell!"

the only WWE PPV to be held in Alabama I was there too. In the cheap seats, granted, but I was there.

I like to imagine that Vince went around asking people if they'd be willing to fall off of the cell into the back of a truck and Rikishi was the first to say yes.

The first thing I think of whenever this PPV gets mentioned is Triple H's theme music that night. It was bad ass and makes my fave five fo sho.
