Dean Ambrose will never be WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I will not claim, in any way, to know the man who plays the character 'Dean Ambrose' each week on WWE television. I will say that he is hands down my favorite character in professional wrestling since the early incarnation of Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is extremely believable in his gimmick and has found a solid sustainable role for himself. I *wish* he could be World Champion, and I think that when given the opportunity he did very well himself in the main event scene. Despite wonky booking, and some questionable endings to recent matches, he is still viable as a threat. It is believable that this never say die lunatic could beat anyone on the roster, including Brock Lesnar, in any contest if given the chance. But he wont. It is possible that, at any given moment, he could get the backing of those in charge and be handed the golden ticket. But he wont. I, and a vocal section of the WWE fan base, would be very happy if he were thrust into that position. But he wont. Beneath the lunatic gimmick that he plays so well, the man is humble and appreciative of his current role. Coming from a rough background, working his way across the world to earn his current spot, the guy is frankly 'too happy' to be champion. I am not at all saying he isn't hungry, that he doesn't want the spot, or that he is overly comfortable with his current placement on the card. In fact I am willing to bet that he 'wants' be champion, that its what gets him out of bed each day, and that he works extremely hard to be where he is. At the end of the day though, I am of the opinion that he is extremely thankful to have started where he did and ended up earning a very good living, finding purpose, friendship, fame, and even love in the world of professional wrestling. The business doesn't seem to elevate the 'good guys' though.

I think anyone who thinks Ambrose won't be WWE Champion needs to just stop posting for a bit. He obviously will in the future.

Ambrose is cool in my book, I love people that pull themselves up out of the gutter and make life their bitch. I suspect that Vince feels the same way. Ambrose's time will come sooner rather than later I would imagine.

Yeah but he looks good in a suit. What else does a man need?

I think they're high on him and I think under the two belt system he most likely would be but as it stands, particularly with the apparent move toward booking the main event scene with the Mania main decided the year before, I can easily see him being an always a bridesmaid never a bride sort.

He's gonna win the belt from Rollins at some point, at least for a month, Guaran-damn-teed. He's one of the top few guys by far, despite his odd booking and long losing streak for a while, I think his future is quite bright.

I really wanna see Ambrose face Lesnar.
Simply for the spot where Brock starts throwing those haymakers. You know, the ones that have sent everyone, including Taker, reeling.
And to see Dean just look at him, wide eyed and smiling. Punching himself in the face, screaming "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!?!?!?!?"
Yeah, yeah, I know, completely unbelievable. But I'm not saying that Dean needs to be Superman, just too crazy to know how hurt he is. Have this give Brock pause for just a second, then go to the Germans.
I don't know, maybe what I'm saying is, if they keep the belt on Brock, after guys like Cena, Reigns, Bryan, Rollins all fail, go with a "Strength failed, Style failed, maybe batshit out of your mind insane might work."

Exactly. There's a great story to be told with these two. So far, like I said, everyone has tried to outsmart or outfight Brock, but it never works. We need someone to try to Out-I-Have-Absolutely-No-F***s-To-Give Brock. You could even build it by bringing up Ambrose's death match history. Wouldn't need to show anything or go into too much detail, just something like "This is a man who spent the early part of his career wrapped in more barbed wire than Mick Foley could ever dream of. This man will not quit until he's dead."

I remember hearing a story about a fan who used to watch wrestling with his mom until she passed away, and her favorite wrestler was Dean Ambrose. The guy met him at an autograph signing and passively mentioned wishing his mom could meet Ambrose, until he asked why and the fan explained. He gave his condolences and mentioned hoping to impress her in his future work. I think he then gave the guy his jacket (the famous "DA" one) and told him to visit her grave whenever he could or something similar. I hope that story's true, because that's really awesome.
