Definitely doesn't sound as enticing as either of Austin's podcasts

Definitely doesn't sound as enticing as either of Austin's podcasts Seems to be issues between Austin and WWE over his podcasts so we may be stuck with Jericho sadly.

Great.. we're getting rid of the guy who's not afraid of asking the hard questions, and replacing him with Jericho.

Jericho was the first to see something in Cena in 2002 and reportedly went to bat for him, so I actually like the idea of Jericho interviewing Cena because there's the chance we're going to hear some stuff about the bizarre year that was 2002 from someone in the main event and someone just entering the company for his rookie year. That's what intrigues me about this, and they're really the only two in this kind of format who could touch on that peculiar 12 month span with first hand experience and the perspective of remaining with the company some 13 years later to describe that time.
Also, and this is the music obsessive in me talking, hearing how the company either wanted to incorporate or potentially refuse association with both of their music endeavors, which eventually proved to be a success for them, would be an interesting discussion really only they could have as well.

Jericho's podcasts are better than Austin's regular ones these days, so I'm fine with this.

1. Meh. Austin > Jericho 2. lol at the people who were trying to say Jericho gains nothing from defending WWE. 3. I guess this is why, or as a result of, Austin's falling out with WWE.

Yep, they just announced that Jericho's podcast on the network will be a monthly thing. Obviously something is going on with Austin and the WWE. That absolutely stinks. Jericho's podcast is not awful but its not a patch on Austin's style of interview. Jericho is so full of himself these days that he is tantamount to unbearable at times.

It does make me curious as to what the falling out between WWE and Austin is all about, though.
Be that as it may, Austin doesn't need the WWE. He's carved himself a nice niche doing a few acting roles here and there and his reality shows.
If I were to stab at it, it boils down to money or hurt feelings - potentially both. Austin probably doesn't come cheap, and on top of it, he has no issues whatsoever taking the old man to task. Given the WWE's current corporate structure.. I can see that being detrimental to a working relationship.

Oh good, Jericho can toss John some softballs about how great WWE is and how the fans are dumb for disliking Bill DeMott and Roman Reigns.
John will chuckle awkwardly, "Oh, c'mon Chris, the fans are a-okay with me."
Kevin Dunn will get to call the end of the show even if they're midstory.
Sounds awful, I'll skim the recap.

Not sure what to think of this decision to go with Jericho's own podcast over Austin's. Hopefully the Live Podcast thing going forward is more frequent on the network.

I can't imagine Chris giving interesting interviews at all. I've listened to his podcast with WWE guys - it's nothing new.
If Punk was still around, maybe Cabana would have finally found his way back to WWE TV again via podcasts.

As long as the questions aren't like this 'Your fan base is like a runaway freight train, why are you so popular?'

So will it be like his usual podcast where I have to fast forward the first 15 minutes with him playing some lame fozzy song then him mispronouncing a bunch of words in an annoying Canadian accent? But just in video form.

If it was Jericho doing it in his 2008 SRS character i'd definitely watch.

If they will let Cena get out of character, it may turn out to be a great podcast. If not.. it'll be pretty corny
