Kalisto's debut is what Sin Cara's debut should have been. Sin Cara's debut was fine, it was everything else that sucked.

Kalisto's debut is what Sin Cara's debut should have been. Yup I remember the hype for Sin Cara here with one poster here putting it best that the aging Rey Mysterio is the old 3G Network and this new Sin Cara should be the new 4G network being Mysterio's successor. Well Sin Cara busted as we all know but shit I want to see more of Kalisto now. I hope he becomes Rey Mysterio's spiritual successor. But shit I just loved how Kalisto gave it all on his debut. Like you can really tell Kalisto was excited and motivated and focused as f*** during his debut match and he delivered. Rey Mysterio was an old phone that was beginning to need replacing, while Sin Cara was a hot new phone that happened to get a cracked screen within 30 seconds of leaving the store.

I would say that there's no way they can screw up Kalisto, but then I had a flashback to Rey's WHC reign.

I'm certain JBL will waste no time in coming up with some stupid nickname for them.

Absolutely the right crowd to debut him in front of. I don't see any other debut crowd would not have been as over to the LU-CHA chants. I don't see Lucha Dragons being a thing for very long. Kalisto's definitely going to be a singles star in the not so far distant future. Hunicara just looks so mediocre in comparison, its hilarious. I've said for a while that Hunico was never great in the high flying Luchadore style that Sin Cara is supposed to be He was fine when he worked the more mat based style he was when unmasked. He also seems lacking in the physical charisma that Sin Cara original or Kalisto did. (See that pointing comparison and well any time they do the Lucha chants) I like the Sin Cara package in general, but I wish that they would just let him wrestle that mat based style than try to be like a luchadore. The Sin Cara mask should only exist as a means to keep Hunico from being "a generic guy in tights" or a "stereotypical Mexican gimmick".

So relieving to see other posts sharing the sentiment that Sin Cara, Hunico, whatever, is really not good.
First off, the way he points along to the "lu-cha" chants kills me every time. They're so lackluster and off beat; he's just a step off from Kalisto.
Secondly, he's just not good in the ring. I don't consider myself a harsh critic or anything, but he's not very smooth or fluid and it sticks out more because of the lucha gimmick.
But I suppose it's irrelevant as Kalisto is the star for sure.

I remember someone on NXT threas saying Sin Cara is the cynic old guy that said "I'm too old for this shit" from the way he does the chants while Kalisto is the hyper-active energetic annoying partner. Or something like that

Kalisto is fun to watch and he's really good but he's got nothing on Rey Mysterio Jr. before his knee injuries. Rey from his Mexico days to his early WCW days was on another planet. All of that said hopefully he continues to impress as he is really fun to watch. I know that Sin Cara isn't getting much love in this thread but hopefully they keep Kalisto with him for a while because he'll probably get lost in the shuffle as a single right now. There aren't really that many open spots for guys to get on PPVs as singles.

It'd be nice if Torito left the Matadors after they keep hitting him like they've been doing and wears a little dragon costume. I mainly want this because it'd make me think of Bubble Bobble.

I hope WWE try to trademark the word "Lucha".

Kalisto needs to just tag to himself.
This is one team where you'll NEVER confuse the masked members (even if Sin Cara didn't have the big tattoo). Hunico looks like he's walking through molasses after Kalisto tags out.

I don't see Lucha Dragons being a thing for very long. Kalisto's definitely going to be a singles star in the not so far distant future. Hunicara just looks so mediocre in comparison, its hilarious. They really need to play up that he's the level-headed one that keeps the fiery but sometimes misguided youngster on track. Or just straight up make him Murtaugh.

Should be on his business card (with the type all smeared and crooked because botch)
