I liked the gameplay that the game had last year, which puts me in a conundrum: last year's game was limited due to lack of creation modes, but had the best gameplay. Past games had great longevity due to its creation mode but the actual gameplay was ass.
I'm hoping for a happy middle ground with 50 creation spots and the same gameplay.

I hated the gameplay and the lack of creation in last years... so I hope they edit the gameplay and fix all teh creation shit.
I liked the little touches they added like being able to throw people outside but the new engine slowed the game considerably and on top of that dragging people around to hit any move really made matches feel like a chore to me.
not to mention there were a ton of ground moves that were seemingly impossible to hit because you'd drag them into position and then do the ground move from the location you are now.

They said they are adding more creation stuff They didn't have time to add it the way they wanted since wwe wanted the game out in October instead of around mania

Yeah, i feel the same way. I only played 2K15 for the first 3 months after i got it. I tried to play it again a few days ago** but i couldn't get into it, it's REALLY slow. Gameplay got a lot of potential. But they still haven't got it down. ** On that day, i found out that Assassins Creed Black Flag is the best current gen game so far. I even got Unity because of it

I thought 2K14's gameplay to be better personally. I liked the stamina system & I didn't mind the slow down either (I'm more sim than arcade) but it just felt awkward & clunky to me. I'm a bit indifferent on the opening grapple sequence, I sort of like it but it gets boring fast
Little things about it annoyed me the most. Things like messing about with the Wake Up Taunt, with 90% of the roster having the same animation & not being able to use it from the apron or top rope. Then the tag system got messed up & you can't drag someone into your corner for a standing tagteam move

2K15 is the worst game they've made.
A large roster doesn't fix a broken engine and game.

If 2K16 brings back female CAWs, I will most likely buy it. Most my original CAWs are female and I was furious when they revealed 2K15 removed the feature.

If 2K16 has a large portion of the NXT roster in it, I'll be able to overlook a lot of other stuff.
It shouldn't matter if a large portion of people buying the game don't know them. It's advertising for the WWE Network by showing off these wrestlers in the game.

I wish they added achievements with the showcase dlc. It'd give me some motivation to get through them

Not sure I saw it mentioned but I believe they said they were also going to offer patches at frequent intervals for things like clothing updates, etc. Also, if most or all of the current major NXT roster is included that also cuts down on a lot of the CAWS people tend to need or want most so even if they do still only have 25 slots (and aren't taken up by alt attires) that could solve some issues.
For me, I'll buy 2k16, especially with the roster news. This one will be the make or break for me though. I have a feeling that 15 was rushed because of WWE wanting it out by a certain date and this one will be what 2k intended.

I think the news of regular attire updates were from that fake Twitter guy, unfortunately.

They should offer a season pass which offers roster / attire updates quarterly until the next games out.
Would keep people playing and make it almost un necessary to rush the next release out in a year time period.

Because they want that game out every fall, no matter what.

if you include all of the main roster, most of the NXT crew (excluding people who haven't really been anything more than jobbers), you still end up just below 100. Factoring in what showcases they do this year. I imagine a sprinkling of 80s,90s, 00s guys. I think the interview where that 120 number came from mentioned that the 120 doesn't count doubles. And THEN you factor in DLC which by history standards have contained about 5 superstars or so, it makes you really wonder who isn't going to be included.
